Arrived and the man checking me in ignored me saying I wanted to pay the deposit in cash. Charged my card without telling me what he was charging. Room was decent size, smelled clean and beds were comfy. Went to shower and the water pressure was horrible, but even worse was the jack hammer noise that happened from what I can assume is pipes rattling in the walls. That noise continued off and on all night. Definitely not a peaceful night's sleep. Plus the room is the opposite sound proof, so between the jack hammer in the wall and the outside noises I was wishing I had earbuds. But the topper was this morning as I was getting dressed I looked down and saw I had a cockroach in the bed I had just left. I told the front desk and got oh sorry. And when I brought up the deposit I was informed they don't release them until midnight. I definitely will not be returning. And now need to inspect my belongings for roaches.

I've stayed here a bunch of times over the years. It used to be a decent value but sometime this year prices essentially tripled for no apparent reason. The rooms are somewhat in disrepair but the beds are overall very comfortable. Several times I've gotten a room with a broken heater and absolutely froze to death all night as the office said there was nothing they could do about it. Seems like they could have at least provided a space heater or some extra blankets. The manager and housekeeping staff are very friendly. Other desk staff are a mixed bag. There's one older fellow who works the night shift that seems like he needs a vacation but I suppose he puts up with a lot. As far as security goes, I'm not even sure if they have any. Yes there are people that wander the halls at night but I've never known them to bother anyone and some have been pretty friendly. All in all I would recommend this hotel if their prices were more realistic for a 2 star hotel, but as it is you're better off saving a few dollars and staying at a nearby 4 star hotel.

My room was clean and safe, I arrive almost 11 pm, lobby was closed, but a sign lead me to the back and ring the bell, the friendly attendant shows up immediately.

Decent sized parking lot with plenty of spaces ($20 to park, but not secured). The area was relatively nice for SF in the day and night. We didn't have any issues with shady people hanging out in parking lot or occupants making much noise. Our room was right next to housekeeping room, so we heard talking all morning. Rooms, furniture, appliances are all very dated and not in good condition. Bed was surprisingly comfortable. Clean bedding and towels. Overall a 2 star hotel with a 4 star price.

Location is fantastic. Service is sketchy, ghetto & staff are greedy for money. They’ll charge you $80 more than their website quotes for the same room you see quoted on their website or a third party. If you wanna switch rooms on day of checkout, they will charge you an early check-in fee even if you already spent the prior night there. Oh, and a new deposit. In the early hours of the morning on the day of check-out (approximately 5:00 AM), a disruptive guest created a chaotic and unsafe environment for everyone staying at the hotel. This individual pounded on room doors, pulled the fire alarm without cause, and caused widespread panic among guests. The fire alarm incident necessitated a full inspection by the fire department, who checked each room to ensure safety. Throughout this ordeal, the hotel failed to provide proper security or staff intervention. Guests, including myself, were left to handle the situation, which should never be our responsibility. Moreover, the front desk staff offered no apology, resolution, or effort to mitigate the experience. Instead, I encountered dismissive and unprofessional behavior when I raised my concerns. This incident significantly impacted my stay. My friend and I had to work that morning and were relying on the hotel to provide a safe and restful environment, which was not delivered. Due to the disruption, I was late to work, resulting in lost commissions. Additionally, the hotel charged me a late checkout fee, despite the chaos earlier in the morning and the fact that the property was not fully booked the following night. Do I recommend? As a place to party on weekends or if you’re just looking to sleep. The number of towels in the room are based upon how many beds you have, not the number of guests each room can fit. Ex: two beds (normally sleeps 4) would have two sets of towels, not four. One bed (sleeps 2) would have one set of towels, not two. Keep that in mind. Don’t be surprised if your tv doesn’t work. The hotel maids do a nice job making the place look as nice as possible, it’s just the front desk staff I don’t trust.
