The hotel was perfect for our weekend. Its easy to access from Powell Station. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Room was modern and clean. The area has homeless people but it's to be expected in SFO. Hotel had security and we felt safe by being vigilant. As gold members they provided a credit which we used at their rooftop restaurant. Its an excellent venue with great drinks, heaters, cozy blankets and friendly staff. We'd stay at this location again.

This hotel deserve a much better rating than it currently has. If you booked a hotel at the edge of the tenderloin and were shocked to see homeless people around, that’s your fault. Nothing the hotel can do about SF’s poor handling of the homeless population. That said, this hotel has a lot going for it. New building, very clean rooms, comfy bed, and overall a great location to explore the city, with public transit nearby. Service was good but the security guards were the friendliest people on site. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re used to the grittiness of a city and value a clean newer room.

Ayla & Will are amazing! I checked into the Timbri Hotel a little later in the evening, and while I ran into a couple minor issues at check-in, nothing major, it wasn’t exactly how I expected to start the trip. Thankfully, V, who was actually the security guard on duty, stepped in and went completely above and beyond to help get everything resolved late at night. Huge shoutout to her for caring enough to make things right. The next morning, I had the pleasure of meeting Ayla and Will, and that’s where true hospitality took over. They were incredibly understanding, accommodating, and genuinely cared about making sure my fiancée and I had an amazing experience. We were celebrating our recent engagement and chose Timbri for this special trip, and they made us feel welcomed, appreciated, and celebrated from the moment we spoke with them. Not only did they help resolve everything, but they also went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The upgraded one-bedroom suite was absolutely gorgeous. The hotel feels fresh, modern, and beautifully maintained. The rooftop was fantastic, the views were great, and breakfast was excellent. What really sets this hotel apart, though, is the people. Ayla and Will played a huge role in turning a good stay into an unforgettable one. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality made a lasting impression on both of us. We will absolutely stay here again the next time we’re in San Francisco. Highly recommend this hotel for the location, the amenities, and most importantly, the incredible staff. Celebrated my wife’s birthday and got upgraded to the penthouse suite! We were beyond surprised and grateful to the amazing staff. While the hotel is situated at the edge of the tenderloin, the staff security, doormen, and staff ensured our safety. The room was incredible with great views of the city. The barista in the cafe was so kind! Overall it was a find!

I was worried about all of the bad reviews about location but I went in June 2026 and the immediate area felt safe (just make sure not to go towards the dangerous areas). Bedding was excellent- had a nice sleep. The gym didn’t have enough weights but there are a couple of Equinox around so it wasn’t an issue. Only complaint is with bonus points- I declined onsite credit to get bonus points but it didn’t get credited. Tried calling the hotel but it goes to full voicemail box, and automatically disconnected the call. Hilton also disconnected my calls so I gave up after a few tries.
