Great hotel. Great location. Great staff. Great rooms. Great breakfast. Great. On out last night the fire alarm started the death beep every 60 seconds. They came very quickly and admitted that they could not access the ladder to fix (did I tell you how beautiful this building is? How high the room ceilings are?). Within minutes they had us another suite and even came to move our bags. Great. Thanks guys!

We had an excellent experience! We only stayed one night, but the hotel exceeded our expectations in every way apart from a very, very uncomfortable sofa bed mattress. But, the main rooms bed was super comfy and the rooms were very clean and well stocked. We also had really friendly and helpful encounters with all staff. The location is great and within walking distance to the harbor. We had a toddler with us, so did take caution and avoided walking around after dark, as we would in any city’s downtown area, and I think this does apply to this hotel. But, during the day, the location can’t be beat. The valet parking was a very good deal compared to the surrounding parking garage rates, too. We would definitely stay here again!

I booked this hotel a year in advance for Maryland Death Fest. It's a five minute walk to the venue and extremely convenient. It's a little on the expensive side, but after 4 days of partying you'll be glad you got a spot so close. Anyway the room is perfectly fine. The beds are a bit firm and the walls are paper thin, but I wasn't in it much anyway. I do feel that the AC could be cooler though. The continental breakfast was great and seeing other tired metal heads eating eggs will always be funny to me. The place is very fancy looking in general. Front desk was always helpful. Every time I asked for valet to pull my car around, it was less than a 5 minute wait. Even at 2am when we were checking out they had someone walk us to my car despite valet only running until midnight. Really cool people. My only downside was the weird calls I received on my way to the hotel. Since I booked this a year in advance, and it being a state 10 hour drive from me, my bank was obviously hesitant to allow the payment to go through. On my way to the hotel, I received a call saying my payment didn't go through and asked if I was still coming. This is odd to me because I thought why are they trying to run my card before I get there? So, I said I was still coming. I had about six hours of driving to go. I told the receptionist that and she said okay no problem and that she'll make a note. So, one hour before I arrive, I get another call from a different receptionist asking if I'm still coming and that my card was declined. I told her it's my bank and that I'll be there shortly. This caused me some frustration since around the end of May all nearby hotels are booked due to the fest and I didn't want them giving my room away. Luckily, I get there and call my bank and everything is fine. I just thought it was kind of unnecessary to call me at 9:30am (which is before check-in time) and 2:30pm asking if I am still arriving. Other than that, it was a solid hotel that I will hopefully be booking again next year.

The hotel is very old and has the feeling of having once been grand. The ceilings are high and the rooms some of the largest I've seen. The wall treatments, decor, furnishings; all look 50+ years old and as if they were opulent in that time. But the age shows. The tile is cracked, carpets frayed and gapping, ancient windows covered with plexiglass panels buckling in ill-fitted frames. The desk in our room was literally falling apart. It's unique and genteel and not bad at all, but not first-rate. The bed was very good. Complimentary food was offered from 5:30PM to 7, in addition to the complimentary hot breakfast. I want to give this a higher score due for that uncommon benefit, but I can't because while the service was good and the dining area clean, the food itself was on the lower end of edible. If you're vacationing with a passel of kids on a budget, snap up these rooms without hesitation. If you're with your SO, you might still come for the novelty and atmosphere, but don't come for the breakfast.

Ines served a phenomenal Social Hours! She was so helpful and kind! All about my stay was perfect! I was in town with my kid and having the social hours snacks was perfect, as I didn’t need to leave the property to have and early dinner. The quiet rules of the hotel makes a huge difference when staying with kids and the property is only an easy 5 min walk from Port Discovery Museum. Valet parking was fast and easy. Breakfast was amazing and included in the rate. Really best option in Baltimore!
