Candlewood Suites Anaheim exceeded my expectations. It was exceptional in location, convenience, cleanliness, and customer service. First and foremost, every person I came across was friendly and helpful. Any issues or questions we had were quickly addressed professionally and politely. The front desk attendants and the cleaning staff deserve a special shout out! The area outside and around the hotel for several blocks was safe and there was always people around. For the smokers and tokers, no smoking/vaping on the property but there is a nice long bench right in front on the sidewalk and plenty of great conversation to be had. Second, we are a family of four and spent 7 days in a 2 bed suite and had plenty of personal space. Our two local loved ones would come to hang out as well with no elbows bumped. There was no noise between rooms and the hallways were quiet. Key cards to access from outside and other rooms like the pool and laundry room was required and good security. Third, convenience. It was outstanding. From the 7/11 on the corner a 2 minute walk away to the easy 10-15 minute stroll to the Disney shuttle bus. The complimentary coffee in the lobby, the complimentary laundry room, and the snack shop were all very appreciated and utilized! There are plenty of restaurants within a five minute walk, but the kitchen in the suite made it economical and fun to eat in. After a stop at a grocery store we were able to save a ton on food! Fourth, cleanliness. I can't stress enough how much I appreciate the job the staff did. They were detailed in their work and our room shined, and like clockwork they came by to pickup and drop off towels. It was great! The pool was also very well taken care of and there was an outdoor shower and towels for guests. I highly recommend the Candlewood Suites Anaheim! Do it!

Nice hotel and area. Hotel is a little over a mile from the entrance to Disneyland, totally doable but we didnt want to walk that after a long day at the park or in the dark. The streets were well lite. There are 2 very small parking garages but the valet was very helpful. There was a lot of confusion when checking in because we had 2 different reservations and then we had to check out of our first 1 day stay and check back into the remaining days. That was a bit of a hassle and after a long park day a little annoying especially when oir key card didnt work. If this was the only place available it would be great but we will probably try somewhere a little closer to property next time

I would not recommend staying here. Upon arrival, I noticed the room was warm. I turned the thermostat down, but the room would not cool off. Maintenance assured me that it was just a part that needed replaced, but after replacing it, maintenance eventually admitted that the room would not cool off. I requested to move rooms and had to move with my two children (4 month old and 2 year old) at 8:30pm. The room we moved to had working air conditioning, but there was a cockroach in the bathroom and the carpet smelled like pee (perhaps because it is a pet friendly hotel). There was also food crumbs on the carpet from a previous guest. The rooms are also loud. I could hear the upstairs guests moving around at all times, and sirens from the nearby fire station all night. They conducted fire alarm testing from 8am-5pm on one of the days, making napping in the room impossible for the little ones. There was only one working elevator for the entire hotel. I am giving two stars because the staff was friendly, but other than that, this was a terrible experience and stay.

Overall, it’s a decent hotel and absolutely fine for a 3-star property. The rooms are clean, well managed, and housekeeping does a great job — towels were changed daily even when we didn’t ask, which was a nice touch. The staff were friendly, and the people around the hotel were pleasant as well. The room itself was spacious and had a good-size kitchen, which is very convenient, especially when traveling with kids. The pool area looks great too, although we didn’t get a chance to use it due to cold weather. The location is good — not super close to Disney, but about a 15-minute walk, which really isn’t a big deal. GardenWalk Mall is right around the corner, which was very convenient. Plenty of options for breakfast or a late dinner, and the bowling on the ground floor was great with amazing food. A few downsides: the AC was very loud, and the fridge made knocking-like noises every time it turned on, which woke us up a few times during the night. The elevator is extremely slow, and the coffee machine in the common area wasn’t working for several days. Also, please consider changing the coffee provided in the rooms — it’s honestly quite bad and tastes awful. Overall, a good stay with a few improvements needed, but still a solid option for families and short trips.

Checked in for one night before going to Disneyland, girl friend went in first. Lights were off. Then she opens the bathroom door and turned the bathroom light on. I went in turned the lights on. We were exhausted, took a shower and went to bed. Next day morning before checking out, I did the usual check out routine see if we have left anything behind. When I checked the back of the bathroom door, there was a big hole on it. Thought it was good idea to let the hotel know, went down for check out and notified the front desk that theres hole on the door, asked if they would like me to stay there. The dest says it’s alright it won’t go to me and thanked me for letting them know. So I left thinking they did a pretty good job. 2days later I got back to Canada from vacation. They charged me 200USD( 290CAD) out of nowhere. I tried to call them but the phone never went through. Says not available for service. Had to call their parent company and put me through (mean time had to create an account with them for god knows why). Been told by the front desk to hold. Waited 18 minutes for that and told me that based on their decision. It was me who broke the door. Said their manager will definitely call me back within a hour. Guess what, its been 8days. Never received anything back till this moment. Please anyone who’s planning to go to the disneyland or for any reason. Please, this place is not recommended. They can’t even give their customers a nice and clean room. And I have to pay for their mistakes. Total nonsense. Why the hell would I even tell you if it was me who broke the door. I wasn’t even asking for compensations for that broken door and a disaster experience they gave us. Now they are charging me without any reason and notifying me just hoping I never see it? Where is justice? Where is customer service?
