Amazing experience! The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They let us settle in immediately and the rooms were very nice. Although we stayed for one night it was an amazing night. I really appreciate the service and hospitality. Thank you Yogi, Dulce and Gabbie for this exceptional service

Good location. Clean room. Very noisy location across the street from city transit. Very thin walls and windows. You will have a hard time sleeping from trains and buses. Absolute basic amenities. Owner was gruff and only interested in making money. Hired staff was kind and welcoming. Prices were too high for what you get. Large corporate properties with a layer of plush very near by away from the noise. Go elsewhere.

I am traumatized. At first I thought this place was pretty cool it needed some cosmetic things done and a handyman needed to be fired. I have traveled a lot and stayed in many a hotel across the world. I have never experienced bed bugs until here. Literally I reached over to grab my drink and one climbed up my arm and ran into the bed. It was not a cockroach I know a cockroaches look like. I of course screamed and jumped out of the bed and started ripping the covers back. I managed to get a couple pictures which weren't the best cuz the room was kind of dark and the little bug was fast. The bug ran under the bed and there was no way I was going to sleep in that bed knowing the bed bug was under the bed. I had to go down to the lobby in my pajamas at around 2:30 or 3:00 in the morning. The girl at the front desk apologized profusely. She arranged for a different room. And then she wanted to come and see in my room. While we were looking under the bed area her flashlight hits something in the corner. And I said what's that and she said that's a cockroach. I literally was mortified. Cockroaches and bed bugs!! I really want it out of that hotel but it was 3 in the morning they put me in a different room where I was freaked out because it was directly above the other room. Somehow I managed to fall asleep. I didn't even want to open my suitcase or take my things out because I was afraid bed bugs would get in my clothes. I didn't want to use the shower. I just left first thing when I woke up. I got home and had to sterilize all my clothes and put my suitcase etc in an area where in case there were bed bugs they wouldn't affect my house. They didn't offer any kind of compensation or anything.

We recently stayed at Hotel Mai Downtown Long Beach the night before departing on a cruise. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. We arrived after 8:30 p.m., and upon entering our room, we discovered that the bathroom was completely filthy. It was clear that it had not been properly cleaned prior to our arrival. Because it was late and we had plans to meet friends, we did not feel we had time to wait for housekeeping. Instead, we went to a nearby market, purchased cleaning supplies, and cleaned the bathroom ourselves so we could use it comfortably. We brought the issue to management’s attention the next morning. While the concern was acknowledged, no credit or meaningful resolution was offered. The location is convenient for cruise departures, but cleanliness is a basic expectation at any hotel. I hope management takes steps to improve housekeeping standards.

Everything is really nice the rooms are great and cozy. The one thing I would change is parking, its open to the public and some sort of private entrance would be good. The jacuzzi wasn't working while we were there but the pool was nice. The customer service was good as well.
