Polina M 4 months agoSo much potential, but needs a lot more work. We enjoyed staying here, but the place definitely needs some money invested to restore it to what it can be. The room was strange. It was pretty big, but almost seemed like they threw out furniture, but didn’t replace it. Half of the room was just empty and there was a too-small tv hanging weirdly on the wall. The bathroom was very outdated, but shower had good pressure. The bed was quite comfortable and had nice linens. The market place on board was closed. Coffee shop had good coffee, but we did not try the restaurant. We also did a ghost tour and that was really fun. I’d love to see this place restored to its original glory.
Ellen Molloy 4 months agoCool history there. Loved all of the art and antique pieces available to view. Also loved the view of the harbor. The rooms, are low-tech, of course. However, that can be a nice change of pace. Finally, those sensitive to vibes should expect to feel a lot of them. If one is "squeamish about ghosts," one should avoid the place. However, if one is more sophisticated about the natural vibrations of historic ships, one can have a relaxing and spiritual experience, as I did.
Angel Mello 4 months agoHalloween is a time I always go, mazes are fun and scary, just went to the valentine's mascaraide party 3 mazes, a dj dancing, and live band outside. Also went on a guided tour one time to learn the history. It is haunted or full of spirits I should say. I recommend going it can be relaxing too. Staff is always nice and helpful. Food is good. Looking forward to going again soon.
Josh Erdman 4 months agoWe love staying at the Queen Mary! It is so convenient to stay there the night before you take a cruise with Carnival. It also feels like it extends your cruise by a day! The staff are friendly and I highly recommend the self-guided tour. Since we have stayed here multiple times, we bought a guided tour and got access to some other rooms that we wouldn't otherwise be able to see. I learned a lot!
John Staley a month agoIt's a wonderful place to visit. Some much history with a lot of craftsmanship. The docents are extremely knowledgeable. Some tour areas are not ADA accessible. We did not stay onboard, but had drinks and dinner. The bar area was very nice and the server was friendly. The dining room was also nice and service was good. The food was okay, but not great. It is more of an experience than food.
