I guess I need to only stay at 3star hotels in the future...! Are my standards too high? Plusses: clean linens, warm shower, great mattress, quiet room. If that's all you expect, it does it's job. We were, in fact, able to sleep and shower. Deal breaker: EVERYTHING reeks of smoke, (changed rooms, but two DAYS and full laundry later, and we still can't get the smell off of us and out of our luggage -- we might even just throw it away as now it's unusable), Minuses: not updated since it was built, so everything is damaged, especially the elevators and carpets. Walls dirty, and even graffiti present. When it shares the parking lot with the liquor store... I should've known what I was getting into. Sadly, can't recommend, although the staff did their best, communication in English was also limited, wifi weak, and breakfast sparse to nonexistent. Two stars because front desk did try to help, but 0 stars better represents the likelihood we would ever stay again. Definitely would rather camp. Took over a dozen pictures just in and around our room to document the damage and dumpiness, but I'll just decribe one -- "exposed wiring in the wall!!!" Do NOT let children stay here.

I wish I could leave a zero star review. We were optimistic about the hotel as it's close to Towson, Timmonium and other up and coming good areas. We went to check in and quickly noticed from the lobby it was severely outdated. We gave it a chance until we got in the room to find wallpaper peeling off, chairs with fabric coming off, not a deal breaker but the true reason we left was from the amount of insects and hair on the bed. There was dark hair, and not just one, hundreds of hairs across the sheets and pillows. Upon removing the sheets, we discovered at least 3 ants, and what looked like a roach crawling across the mattress to which we chased under the mattress in order to get a picture of it. Roach, water bug, friendly neighbor, I don't care, it was not welcome and neither was our stay. The room smelled awful. The bathroom was outdated and with only a dull mirror light, was very gloomy. I have stayed in some shady hotels as a long haul truck driver, but in this area, knowing Towson quite well, we expected a much more welcoming stay. Highly disappointed in how many hotels in this area have been run down, outdated and depreciated by crawling things. Highly recommend you avoid this place. Oh and the free wifi don't even work in the room. Petty, I know, but if it's offered, it should work right?

The several glowing reviews for this place do not reflect my stay in May 2026. This property is badly run down and poorly maintained. The front desk is behind heavy protective glass, which immediately sets the tone. Communication with the staff was difficult due to their heavy foreign accent, basic questions were not answered clearly, and when my room key card repeatedly failed because of what appeared to be a loose or defective door lock, the problem was treated as if it were somehow my fault. The room itself had a heavy chemical smell that made me cough throughout the night, and the odor stayed in my clothes for days afterward. The hallways were dark, stained, shabby, and peeling in places. Only one elevator was working. The bed was very uneven and lumpy, not even moderately supportive. The refrigerator in the room made noise but barely functioned. The sign on the second floor still points to an “Ice Machine” that clearly has not worked for a long time. I mentioned it to the clerk behind the glass wall at the desk and instead of apologizing, he just pointed vaguely in the direction of another one somewhere else. That pretty much seems to sum up the attitude of the place: our hotel management knows it is run-down often broken but we don't care. There was a lot of activity coming and going throughout the evening and night, perhaps road work crews staying there. If you are expecting a quiet, normal family or business hotel stay based on the online reviews, that was not my experience at all. On the plus side, the bathroom was clean and bright, and the air conditioning worked well. The location is convenient. Beware: there is essentially one entrance at the adjacent Wine store and a separate exit-only from the property. If you do not already know where the entrance is, you may miss it entirely. And if you miss the entrance or when exiting, if you fail to bear left immediately, you will be forced directly onto I-695 with no warning. If that happens, just stay right and take the first exit back to local traffic. When you do exit and bear left, there is an immediate opening to U-turn back the way you came. Yes, it is confusing unless you already know. Overall, this was a very unpleasant hotel stay. The online ratings dramatically oversell the condition of this property.

Our stay here is absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The hotel was spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. The staff truly made the experience exceptional—everyone was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with a smile. From check-in to check-out, we felt valued and taken care of. The atmosphere was relaxing, the amenities were top-notch, and everything exceeded our expectations. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend!

The worst thing was that the toilet overflowed one morning and I asked for some towels to wipe up the water so I could use the room to shower quickly - the desk clerk said there were no extra towels. So I asked for a mop and he said there was a mop but “it wouldn’t work”. He offered to move me to a different room but I was running late. So I couldn’t have a shower that morning so all day I was worried I smelled bad. He then did bring one more towel to my room to take care of the water on the floor but it didn’t do much. For a hotel to not have extra towels on hand - this is bad management. For a hotel not to have a mop to use in case of a toilet overflow - this is extremely bad management However, there were many things wrong: - the whole hotel smelled of old cigarette smoke especially the hallway but also the rooms - After the toilet overflowed the room smelled musty and moldy - The first room I was given had a housekeeping cart in it and no sheets on the bed - There was barely any bread out at breakfast, no milk one morning so no one could eat the cereal that was available - Stained towel and pillow case - Gross spots on the chair like old food that had dried - No phone in the room to call the front desk - Spotty internet that would cut out - No tissues - Lots of damage to the room - walls, furniture, even tub was damaged. Places needed repainting and rewallpapering The people were sweet but the incompetence was shocking. The only good thing was the coffee machine in the breakfast room made delicious coffee
