ANTS ANTS ANTS Been saving this review until I got my $200 deposit back (the first red flag) because the host (Vince) genuinely seems like the type to make something up just to get some of that deposit back as a retaliation against a bad review. Anyway, I made the mistake and booked this stay prior to reading the google reviews. You can take the time to read the others as I won't get into the other people's bad experiences. Similar to others, I was under the assumption the entire space would be mine. This is entirely wrong and you only get a room to yourself. You can hear literally everything and I was kept all night from the noise of the other people walking around, laundry running, and the shower noise...My god. Even once the shower is done, you can hear the constant dripping. The other residents will make or break your stay. Worst of all, I came into the room the first night and immediately noticed there were ants everywhere. They were crawling all across every inch of the baseboards. I immediately notified Vince and informed him I'd like a refund so I could book a stay elsewhere. Mind you, a giant pile of ants was under the baseboard of the bed so the cleaner was obviously aware of the ant infestation. His response? Telling me he would notify the cleaner then telling me there was ant spray under the bathroom sink (there wasn't btw, but either way, I wouldn't have wanted to go to sleep right after spraying). I kept pushing that I would vastly prefer a refund so I could book a stay elsewhere as no solution would be immediate for ants if you've ever dealt with an ant infestation. Spraying is only temporary. It also made me question the cleanliness of the bed (i.e. bed bugs). No matter what I said, the $300-400 of profit was just really important to Vince I guess. Vince probably makes well over six figures and can't be a decent human being. I put up for it for the night and Vince told me the cleaner would be coming the next day. They never came. I stayed 6 days and 5 nights, and she never did a follow up as the ants were always there. I guess the one positive is they were much more quieter than the other residents on this property (Room #1 at the Harry Potter suites). If you still decide to stay, one tip I can give you is try to leave/arrive at the Taylor Ave/Galer St bus stop. It's just a short walk to the property. Yes, going to Aurora Ave/Galer St bus stop is quicker and will be recommended on Google maps, but you have to climb a huge flight of steps. Also, it is EXTREMELY sketchy and dangerous during the night time. Trust me - do it once and you'll understand. The one positive is the neighborhood seems like it's mostly college residents so it doesn't feel as dangerous as it probably should be.

The place does not get the credit it deserves. If you read the description, then you know what to expect and this place definitely met expectations. It was in a very nice and safe location and the property was very well maintained and had a few very nice amenities (like a heated bathroom floor!). Yes, the room is small and yes it is a guest house, but you get a private bathroom. This was perfect for my friend and I who really only needed a place to sleep.

Arrived for 3 days. For a Photo shoot. Definitely a scam accommodation. I should have checked the reviews before booking. This Laughable minimal attempt at Harry Potter themed concept accommodation shared multiple levels apartment with communal lounge, kitchen, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher. Once entered using access code on main door front entry door long stair case up with x1 carryon and a suitcase as a disabled vet up to main floor since I was in room 1. Building has multiple stair cases to different floors and single small rooms. Multiple marks on walls and damage from guests baggage Access to room by electronic combination locks. There is no assistance on premise. Hidden cameras surveillance detected. In the single room I inspected the room and noted and messaged with photos showing damage and issues. I had a double bed, microwave, keurig single serve. Wine bottle fridge that didn’t work or keep anything cold broken, in room heater on wall melted damaged, portable floor model air conditioner that constantly leaked all over the floor. Expensive for low quality accommodation. No tv remote in the lounge room but so I had to use my room tv remote that works on the lounge room tv. Security deposit never returned or refunded. Dodgy business

Scam warning: The room is small but sufficient if you only need a place to sleep, and the location is great. However, there are some issues. There is no cleaning service I stayed for two weeks and the room was never cleaned. Additionally, they kept $20 from my deposit claiming the remote control was missing. I did not take the remote control — why would I? This feels like a dishonest practice to charge extra fees. I noticed other guests have reported similar experiences, so be careful.

Be careful on the site. Ai assistant canceled my 8 day booking and the property kept my money of over $650 i already paid and wouldn't reinstate my booking or refund. I had to book somewhere else and pay for 8 days.
