Vee Pike 2 months agoStayed here solo and had a really good time. Hostel Fish has a warm, welcoming vibe that makes it easy to feel comfortable even if you're travelling on your own. The dorm beds are well set up, with enough space and privacy. Comfortable enough that I actually slept well, which isn't always a given in shared rooms. I didn't spend much time in the common areas, but they were quiet and empty the few times I did pop in. Fine if you just want somewhere to sit. Location is solid. You're right in the middle of things, with Pike Place Market, the waterfront, and plenty of restaurants and coffee shops all close by. One real frustration though: the wifi. It connected fine but was painfully slow for pretty much my entire stay. If you're planning to work remotely or stream anything, don't count on it. For the price, it's still hard to beat. Seattle accommodation can add up fast, and Hostel Fish gives you a comfortable, centrally located stay without the cost of a traditional hotel. Would still recommend it for solo travellers looking for a good base in Seattle.
Evan Clifthorne 5 months agoStayed here last week and loved it! Great vibe, great staff, and killer location. Lots of room type options, including shared or private. It's been a hostel for ages, but just came under new ownership, and they definitely cleaned and leveled up, which was nice to see. Awesome back patio space, and the location is unbeatable. Right in the heart of historic Belltown, full of nightlife, food, street art, live music venues, and walking distance to Pike Place Market. Great value and worth a stay!
Julia 2 months agoSuper affordable option considering the area! Very easy to walk to the piers and Pike Place Market, and the hostel is surrounded by a million food and drinking options, theaters, etc. I appreciated that the hostel has female-only rooms available (just nice to see as a solo traveler) and the room itself was clean and upkept. I did have an issue with my bunk's built-in locker, but I've already addressed it with the staff and it wasn't bad enough to ruin my stay or anything. Would definitely stay again 👍
Sunny 6 months agoThe hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly, always ready to lend a hand when I needed help. The hotel's location is convenient, just a few minutes' walk from Pike Place Market and the Space Needle. I also found many great cafes nearby. However, perhaps due to the Christmas and New Year holidays, the hotel music was sometimes quite loud, especially at night when I wanted to sleep. There were no shelves in the bathroom for shampoo and shower gel, so I had to leave them on the floor. The shower water pressure was strong, which I appreciated! I would suggest installing coat racks in the rooms, as there was nowhere to hang winter coats. Also, a small trash can in the bathroom would be helpful for female guests to dispose of personal items. Overall, the stay was good, but there are a few areas for improvement!
Talloolah Love -Tea Wilde 5 months agoSeriously, I could not have had a better time than I had at this hostel. It was clean, the water pressure was great, the folks were really professional accommodating and friendly, I am a lady traveling alone and this place felt really welcoming and safe. Everything is so walkable. Plenty of bodegas close by, restaurants, bars, public transit. And it's super close to the ocean just so you could go walk down to the pier and watch the boats go by. Be sure to get the folks at the front desk to tell you all about the history of the building and the neighborhood. It's a real treat. I didn't get to stay long enough to enjoy the sauna, but maby next time I will make sure I hit it up because it's really cool looking.
