Great location, flew into SeaTac. And took the link direct to downtown and only a 2 block walk to the hotel. When we got up the next morning Pike place market was just a couple of blocks away for coffee and delicious pastries. We got in late and Andre was so helpful and informative. The hotel room was a little scary at first. Our room was at the end of a hallway way that was super dark cause a light was missing! The room room itself was clean but old. Definitely could use an update! Also the Moore coffee shop on the lobby is awesome!

Great historical hotel experience. If you properly set your expectations then you will enjoy this classic and charming hotel. It has had some updates and renovations of course. But don't expect anything new and/or modern. It is clean and well maintained, no AC but windows open and they provide a fan for the warmer days. It's in a good location for walking distance to Pikes Place Market area and not too far from the Space Needle and nearby museums.

Good size room, comfy bed, good pillows, functional bathroom, clean, and quiet. Front desk is friendly and informative staffed by locals. Easy access to tourist attractions like the Public Market Center (Pike Place), the ferris wheel, cruise terminal, library, shopping, and restaurants. I would stay here again.

This is a cool old hotel we’ve stayed there twice. For people complaining, book a stay at a fancier hotel? For everything we are looking for, which means all basic amenities provided, they go a step beyond. Location is amazing, rooms are very nice, restaurant downstairs is open late and the coffee shop is good too. It’s true there’s no a/c, for us the box fan was adequate. Yeah the shower head could be a little higher but who really cares?

decent place, guy at check in was friendly, check in itself was smooth and easy. however when I was there I got a room on the 6th floor and the elevator was broke so had to hike up the stairs, needed the exercise anyway. the cable on the TV wasnt working, nothing major for me since I was only there 1 night. the best part was the unexpected free upgrade we got. wifi was spotty at best. didn't use the shower so can't comment on that.
