Chrissy Golding a month agoIt’s important to me to feel welcomed when I come into a business and the staff here did a great job with that; very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, the hotels in an excellent location and very affordable. My only suggestion is that I recommend bring earplugs or a sound machine. You can hear a lot of cars driving by on the side that faces the road, the hotel is right off the freeways. But for the price it is worth it. I used a sound machine and slept great.
Tara Rutherford a month agoThe hotel was in a nice location. The harbor across the street was beautiful! The rooms were nice enough. I was surprised there was no fan in the bathroom. There were almost like rust marks on the bathroom door frame where the humidity formed on the frame. The breakfast and dining was great. The staff was very friendly. The elevator was quick and so smooth.
Kelly Henderson 3 months agoThis is my 2nd time staying here recently and both times service was excellent. They were accommodating and I appreciated the free water at check in. Visited the gym this time. Small and no leg machines but I got a nice work out in. And appreciated that it was quiet. Haven't enjoyed the pool area yet but it seemed quiet during the week. I wouldnt mind more variety for the dinner menu but it was good. I've found the bay facing rooms to be quieter than the mountain view rooms (traffic), but overall enjoyed my stay and will be back.
Angela Harris 3 months agoI would give this property 10 stars if I could! I’ll start with the property itself; the reception area was clean and inviting, the food in the restaurant was a surprisingly big portion, and the bedroom was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The real gem of this property are the people that work there. My eldest brother passed away and I had to quickly make arrangements to visit The Bay Area for a few days while I handled his final affairs. Every single person I encountered was kind, compassionate, respectful, helpful. They all expressed their condolences, and Erika allowed my family to use the conference room so we could hold a family meeting to finalize my brother’s arrangements. It was such a big relief to know that my lodging was handled with care and compassion during such a stressful time. I really want to thank Ancira, Gina, Erika, and Yasmine for their outstanding professionalism, hospitality, and compassion during my stay! There was another young lady who was extremely helpful!! She got my dad some hazelnut creamer for his coffee and was very accommodating when I needed to extend my checkout. I didn’t get her name, but I also appreciate her hospitality as well. This type of customer service will absolutely keep me as a returning Hilton customer! You should give them all a raise!
Apollo Clark a month agoI used to work at a hotel as a waiter delivering room service meals, don’t like leaving bad reviews, but I’m really disappointed by this stay. I booked the “king suite,” which at most every hotel is the premium room. It cost $280 + $15 breakfast + 10% tax = $330 per night. We stayed both nights, since I don’t expect to get any refund, and wanted to get my money’s worth. I read online later that it’s best to avoid any of the “Hilton - Garden Inn” locations since they’re designed for business conferences, with the expectation you’ll only be sleeping in the rooms, not lounging, and not staying in the hotel very much, so it’s minimal amenities. It’s not the worst place I’ve stayed, but there’s so many details that disappointed. Good 1. Concierge, housekeeping, and breakfast bar staff were nice. 2. Clean sheets, duvet, towels, hand towels, and washcloths. 3. 4x towels, 4x hand-towels, and 4x washcloths. 4. Soft and fluffy pillows. 5. Nice armoire to put away clothes. 6. Ironing board and clothes iron. 7. Lamps worked. 8. Air conditioning and heating worked well. 9. Air conditioning had separate wall panels for the living room and bedroom. 10. Air conditioning was fast to adjust temperatures in the rooms. 11. Nice blackout and sheer curtains. 12. Nice Ottoman foot stools. 13. Nice velvet throw pillows on the couch. 14. Nicely designed shower with safety handrails. 15. Hot shower water. 16. Dual shower head and handheld shower massager. 17. Nice smelling body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. 18. Hairdryer. 19. Bathroom mirror is well lit. 20. Kitchenette included a sink, ice bucket, mini fridge, microwave, and Keurig machine, with free coffee pods, non-dairy creamer, sugar, zero calorie sweetener, and stir stick. 21. Power outlets at the desk and both bed nightstands. 22. Nice gym. 23. Outdoors mini pool, with a disability crane to lower people in. 24. Well stocked bar in the lobby. 25. Gas station next door to buy inexpensive food and drinks. Ugly 1. Graffiti scratched into the elevator metal walls. 2. Painters working on the side of the building all day, didn’t have any privacy, should not have rented out these rooms. 3. Thin walls and hollow doors, could constantly hear the other guests. 4. Staff is slow to respond to the app requests for service, took 10+ mins. 5. Staff refused to deliver flatware utensils or dinnerware, said to buy some in the gift shop. 6. View was facing the freeway, not towards the SF Bay, for a premium room. Clearly Hilton’s corporate policies have forced the staff to make cuts in quality. Instead, rent a room nearby at the Hyatt down the street.
