Did not meet expectations. Overall stay was OK, but the 2 star rwciew is reflecting the missed expectations of a 4 star Hyatt brand hotel. Check in was warm and efficient. The room was spacious. TV has ability to cast from your phone. Room decor was nice. I'd recommend having dimming lights if they ever renovate. However, the AC did not cool the room down enough (stayed at 75F throughout the night). Pillows were flat and uncomfortable. The thermostat display shines like a lighthouse so good luck having a dark room to sleep in. At check in, they offered housekeeping on my second day, which I accepted. But no housekeeping was done. I later asked to at least replenish the coffee supply but they only came up to bring coffee pods (no cups, creamers etc.) For members in the hospitality industry, it seems baffling that they were not trained to anticipate their guests needs and to make them feel welcomed and comfortable. Parking is valet only. 47 dollars, which seem reasonable for the location. Restaurant opens at 7am. Several coffee shop around the area available too for breakfast.

The location of this hotel was excellent. It is walking distance to everything in downtown Sacramento. We also liked the large countertop space in the bathroom and the size of the room to accommodate luggage. And the smart fridge was a nice touch. Unfortunately, though we didn't sleep very much during our three night stay. The bedding was so thick and heavy, and wasn't breathable. After our first night we called the front desk to see if we could get thinner blankets. They said they didn't think any alternative blankets were available, but would check with housekeeping and call me back. I never received that return call or any other bedding. In addition, the A/C unit functioned very poorly and the room never really got cold. This resulted in both of us sweating at night. For the price we paid to stay here, we were expecting at least great A/c and and bedding.

This hotel provided easy access near the arena and featured pleasant, courteous staff. The clean room was spacious, quiet, and well equipped for overnight needs. After a long drive, the ground floor bar offered a relaxing happy hour with an attentive, friendly bartender. Valet parking was prompt and highly responsive to elderly needs. The historical sixth floor Clayton Club was closed despite posted hours stating it was open.

Great location and great service. Breakfast was fantastic. Gym is adequate. Rooms were clean and nice, although the bed was a little soft. I gave the room 3 stars because there is an annoying light on the smoke detector that blinks ALL NIGHT LONG! And a light on the motion sector that comes on and intermittently. It’s hard for me to sleep with random lights in my room and this was a real negative for me. I talked to the front desk about it too, and it sounds like this is just the way it is. Also we didn’t need valet parking so the hotel recommended the 555 Capitol mall parking garage - but the way their pricing works (each day starts at midnight, instead of it being based on a 24 hr clock) we ended up being charged for 2 nights and paid more than the valet would cost! Lesson learned.

Overall this was a decent stay in a new property. I have a few nitpicky things that would not prevent me from going back, but I think are important for people to know. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. Room size is decent. The shower itself had good pressure. Due to it being a new propoerty the towels are still leaving a lot of fluff behind, which is annoying to pull out of hair. The shampoo was more clarifying than moisturizing, so guests may want to bring better shampoo. There was a concert at the Golden 1 Center, so that was a bit noisey but didn't go on too late. Light sleepers, check the concert/game schedule. This part of Sac has a lot of security around so it is pretty safe.
