The front desk is exceptional. They always greet me with a smile and make me feel like family every time that I stay there. I'd like to highlight Emily as she is just so welcoming with a great attitude. My wife and I travel there for business and we always comment about how good her customer service is. I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody looking to stay in Sacramento or the Sacramento area. We will definitely be coming back.

We have had an incredible stay at the Sawyer. The entire team from the valet, to bellman, front desk, and the pool team have been super hospitable. The rooms are large, modern, clean and well appointed. Special shout out to Albert at the pool for not only taking care of us, but sharing his innate positive vibe with us and his other customers. Truly a remarkable guy; as a representative of this hotel, I can only imagine the rest of the team is as lovely. Thank you Albert and Sawyer team!

I recently stayed at the Kimpton Sawyer and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. The hotel itself is beautiful, but what really sets it apart is the team. From the moment I arrived, Nicholas at the front desk made me feel genuinely welcome. He recognized my loyalty status, explained the hotel amenities, and even gave me some great local recommendations. Check-in was fast, friendly, and professional. Throughout my stay, Nigina consistently went above and beyond. Every time I passed through the lobby she greeted me by name and made sure I had everything I needed. It’s rare to find that level of personalized service these days. I also had the opportunity to interact with Shenna, who was incredibly helpful during a busy period. Despite the lobby being packed with guests, she remained calm, efficient, and attentive to everyone around her. The hotel was spotless, my room was comfortable and well-maintained, and the location can’t be beat if you’re visiting downtown Sacramento. Being connected to DOCO and within walking distance of restaurants, shopping, and Golden 1 Center made everything extremely convenient. One thing that stood out was how engaged the entire front office team seemed. Whether it was helping with directions, arranging transportation, or simply offering a friendly greeting, every interaction felt genuine rather than scripted. I’ve stayed at many hotels throughout California, and the service at the Kimpton Sawyer is among the best I’ve experienced. The team clearly takes pride in what they do, and it shows. Thank you to Nicholas, Nigina, Shenna, and the entire staff for making my stay memorable. I look forward to returning soon.

This is a great hotel all around, but I want to take a second to rave about the level of service we received on this most recent stay. We had a problem with our booking not getting confirmed (fault of a 3rd party site, not the hotel). It was midnight, the hotel was full, and every other hotel in downtown Sac was also full. The Sawyer staff went above and beyond to help us find a room, and ultimately cleaned a room for us to make it available. Beyond that, every staff person from the front desk to the coffee guy was friendly, kind, and helpful. The staff at this hotel had made me a loyal customer, and I can't wait to visit again.

I visit here often and I am always treated incredibly well. Everyone is super helpful and kind. The location is great and the bar/restaurants, plus rooftop pool is amazing! Really enjoyed chatting with the ladies at the front desk and they made my partner feel so special. Always a VIP experience (and I am by no means “VIP”).
