This is my preferred hotel in Sacramento for sure! The location is perhaps not the best, given the semi-rough park across the street and traffic outside the front door, but otherwise this is a great place to stay! I love the historic charm of the common areas, including elevators, staircases, etc. I also appreciate the classic details in the room and the political quotations, photos, and cartoons throughout the building - perfect for a hotel in Sacramento! When I find a good rate on this hotel, I jump on it. I will say I was a little disappointed the semi-recent remodel of the reception area removed a bit of the history and "feel" from before. It's a lot more modern looking now, while still being classy and feeling upscale. I have also had the pleasure of eating some of their food, which I assume comes out of the same kitchen as Grange Restaurant & Bar. Their food is excellent, although I wish they were more explicit on the menu about options for those with dietary restrictions. The rooms themselves are nice, although the towels could use a refresh. When I grabbed my bath towel at first I thought it was a bath mat because it was so thin and coarse. Unfortunately I was wrong. Lastly, the meeting facilities here are great, and the staff are attentive and welcoming.

Excellent location and really feels like a luxury hotel…until you see the bathroom. 😭 Shows really well in photos but the water pressure was crazy high, like splashing everywhere in the shower and the tile is how shall we say…ooky. 😶 Would love to see the bathrooms get some love because this spot is otherwise the best, most chic, nicely-located hotel for walking around and checking places out. The lobby is so crazy - I want to look around more but it’s weird cuz the desk is there lol. It’s so cool though, if you stay take a moment to take in the lobby and elevator bank. Truly vintage cool stuff.

Really Enjoyed the Hotel & Restaurant/Bar..There was a wedding party and everyone was so Nice!!! Great ENERGY. Pitbull Tour Area not so Nice due to certain things all downtown areas seem to have as a normal now, but there are still plenty good things to do in the area, so we make the best of it you understand

Great attention to detail. Nice friendly staff. Valet parking a must. Standard rooms don’t have a great view but the rooms are spacious. Nice touch with champagne at check in. Excellent restaurant attached to the hotel. Concert in the park happens right across the street. Park the car and lots to see and do nearby. Forgot to take pics!

Great experience! Very clean and professional. One thing I must say Valet parking service is fast great attitude. As I was checking out I wanted to give another tip. This time on the app I didn’t have the option so I asked him where the tip button went as I’m showing ohim my phone. Well the valet guys don’t get those tips. I got upset because it is a deceiving process. So USA Valet Parking take a look at your policy about that because that’s plane simple wrong. For the people staying at the hotel please share and re share that tip should be cash to the guys doing valet and to not tip using their app. Boycut who ever that greedy manager is for USA valet parking.
