The staff is extremely unprofessional, and very rude. We booked through Expedia, with the option to “pay at property”, however, previous to checking in, the card that was put on file was charged the full room amount. When we asked why this was, we were first told it was due to their cancellation policy, and that were allowed to charge us whenever they wanted after the 72 hour cancellation period was over. The gentleman on the phone explained we could change the card charged when we arrived, and that the funds would be returned in 72 hours. When we arrived at the hotel to check in, we were greeted by another person we were then informed that even though they charged us, we still needed to pay an additional $100 deposit. I again asked again why we were charged the full cost of the room, even though we had booked through Expedia and had the pay at property option selected. She then told us that it was due to the “check in policy” and that if our card didn’t go through they were going to give away our room with no warning or communication. And that if we wanted the funds returned to use the appropriate card, we had to wait until check out and we wouldn’t receive them for 5-7 business days. The next morning, we called expedia to ask why we they didn’t inform us of this policy, nor the charges that occurred. They explained that they would be opening an investigation because not only was the hotel NOT supposed to charge, they also informed us that the hotel did not inform them they had charged us, and no funds had moved through Expedia. Because of this, they explained they couldn’t do anything about the charges, and that we would have to speak to the hotel. On the day of checkout, we were greeted by another lady. she was very rude and acted like we were inconveniencing her. We again tried to talk to her about the wrongful charges and the situation at hand, and she completely cut us off, and ignored the entire conversation. She stated again that the charges were allowed due to their check in policy which takes place 3pm at the day of our check in which was AGAIN never told to us. Additionally, once the refund and appropriate card was charged, we were told we wouldn’t receive our funds for 7-10 buisness days. Due to this entire process we were basically charged twice for the time being, leaving us hours away from home, with limited money. Overall the experience was HELL, and i will NEVER stay here again. The whole situation seemed pushy, and like a cash grab, and they had no desire to help or talk to us. I personally do NOT feel comfortable staying at a place where they feel it’s appropriate to wrongfully charge, and potentially give away your room without any communication. I have now contacted their corporate office and Expedia.

Place is good if you're single and on a business trip. The neighborhood is not the best one in Sac. So I'd say no kids, also no playgrounds nearby for them to have fun. But what I know I don't have kids. Easy access to downtown, business centers and highways. Also river is pretty close, so thsts nice. Amenities and rooms are okay. Services is great.

If you don't need a good night's sleep, this is the place to stay! Walls are paper thin. You can hear everyone who walks down the hall. You can hear every single person who gets ice. It's 3:30 am people, please tell me why you need ice?! Go to sleep already! For most of the night, the people in the room above seem to be moving the furniture around the room. The black out curtains block out 90% of the stadium bright lights they installed outside these rooms. If you like cars driving down the street to be your white noise, it's a feature here. It's 3 am and we're wide awake. I am hearing impaired. I can't even imagine what this must be like for my husband. This is not a quiet place to stay for $132 a night. I will add that the person at the front desk was friendly, attentive and got up to let us in thinking we were having difficulty using the key card. We appreciate that. Otherwise, this place needs some insulation & weatherstripping on the non-functional sliding glass door and to dim the lights outside. Bring earplugs and light blocking eye masks to be prepared for your stay.

The room was nice the service was great. The rif raft around this place were selling stuff and this was the only hotel that didn't have bars around the parking lot. Ppl up all night and as we were che king out someone was complaining about someone messing with his vehicle. Even the breakfast was good.

The location is very sketchy with a lot of people walking around at night, and it did not feel safe to walk around or park. They were supposed to open at 6am for breakfast and weren't even open at 6:30am when I finally gave up. Because the person was slowly opening breakfast, there were no doors open and no way to even drop off the key and get a printed receipt to check out. Seriously bad service. Room was decent but someone else's waste remained in the toilet.
