My friend and I recently stayed here for the weekend for Project Glow and were absolutely blown away by how modern and clean the hotel was, how fantastic and friendly the staff was, and how perfect both the room and location of this hotel were. The hotel is super close to the Wharf area of DC which is full of great restaurants and things to do. I loved that a major train station was mere minutes away from the hotel. It was super easy for us to get to the festival, and everywhere else during the weekend. I will say, while the room was small, it was furnished and the setup was beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay here. Without question however, my favorite part about staying here was the staff. I had some great conversations with a lot of the members at the bar and front desk and got to know many of them. The atmosphere here is something ive never experienced before in any hotel, and I am very grateful I chose this place to stay at for the music festival. Thank you so much CitizenM, you were absolutely fantastic! Value wise, and experience wise, I’m not sure this hotel can be beat in DC. I will miss you all, and I look forward to the next time I come back! A+ I would strongly recommend to anyone!

Rohjhe was great at checkin and the room was nice. It was perfect for me to get a good nights rest and not need a lot of space. The only thing I needed was for the air conditioning to cool the room better. The fan on high didn’t really kick out a lot of air so I had to request a fan be brought up to my room. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay and have nothing negative to say about it at all. Came back for a second stay and Mecca was amazing. Wonderful customer service. I love staying here! I will continue to come back.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel while we were in DC. We loved our stay here it's a little different feel than a regular hotel. Parking garage is literally right next door with overnight parking.You check in on an iPad but somebody is there to help you do it and we got to pick what our view was from our room if we wanted a view of the courtyard or if we wanted a view of the other side of the building .It was a great atmosphere. All the employees were very friendly and helpful .The rooms are on the smaller side but we didn't mind because all we're doing is sleeping and showering there anyways. Everything in the room is run by an iPad which we liked. It was quiet , which is always a good thing .The breakfast was great. There's a rooftop sushi bar with a great view and a nice dining and bar area downstairs. We would definitely recommend this to anybody plus we got a good deal when we stayed there which is always a plus. And it's in close proximity to the museums and whatever else you want to see there. We would definitely stay there again!

As a Marriott Titanium Elite member who spends a significant amount of time in hotels across the country, I can honestly say this was one of the best hospitality experiences I’ve had over the past two years. The hotel itself has a great atmosphere, modern design, and an inviting vibe that makes it stand out from many properties. However, what truly made this stay exceptional was Maya. She went above and beyond for me and every guest she encountered. Whether she was working the check-in desk, helping at the bar, or serving food, she consistently had a smile on her face and made everyone feel welcomed and she just vibed. She greeted guests warmly, engaged with people throughout their stay, and made sure they felt appreciated when they left. Her positive attitude and genuine care for guests did not go unnoticed. As someone who stays in hotels frequently, this was probably the best I’ve been treated as a loyalty member in quite some time. Maya embodies what hospitality is supposed to be, and unfortunately, this level of customer service is something you simply don’t see very often in 2026. The only area for improvement would be the refrigerator in the room. While it was convenient to have one available, it didn’t seem to keep items very cold, which made storing drinks and food a bit challenging. That small issue aside, this was an outstanding stay, and Maya’s exceptional service made the experience memorable. She is a tremendous asset to the CitizenM team and deserves recognition for the incredible work she does.

Beds are wonderful, rooms are delightfully quiet (a rarity in DC!) and dark (thank you sleep mode blackout curtains!) only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars is that the rooms are so small (a challenge with 2+) and the lack of water glasses/coffee machine. The coffee from the restaurant in the lobby was delicious but it was a pain to have to go back downstairs every time I wanted/needed something. Super close to the airport though and a perfect place for a solo layover/overnight.
