I stayed in this hotel on a mini-vacation with my wife. The hotel itself was amazing. Very clean, a shopping center where you can get a rental vehicle, a Starbucks, an ABC store, a resturaunt and a bar are all in the lobby area. The staff eas very nice and helpful especially Genesis Lutu who helped check us into our hotel and sort out a reservation issue. The rooms were very clean and there were so many amenities to take advantage of. The Spa, gym and Pool on the third floor just to name a few. There is a very easy parking system involving a bar code and the option to self park in the underground parking structure or have vallet parking. The only issue I had with my stay was the elevator situation. I stayed in the Waikiki Yower which had 36 floors. There are only 5 elevators that service the entire tower. This made for a lot of occasional waiting and tight fits when riding down. All things included, I had an amazing stay and would definitely recommend this hotel for your next stay in Honolulu.

Love the convenience and location of hotel. There is microwave and bigger size fridge in rooms. We had 2 rooms one with full ocean view and another partial ocean view. It’s very relaxing sitting out on lanai watching the world floats away down below. The services starting from check in to check out was pleasant. We didn’t need our room cleaned daily but if we see maids out about they will enquire if we needed service. Gift shops are fun to go in. Diane at one of the shops sold me several outfits previous years and this time I found more plus a beautiful Tahitian pearl necklace. I was able to rent a car one day @ Ones car rental within the hotel. All experiences were smooth and very easy. Didn’t get to try the breakfast restaurant onsite. One night we went to Signature steak house on 36th floor. Great foods, services and views! I’ve enjoyed this hotel for years and it’s my first choice when we come back to Oahu.

Rooms were very small, and unfortunately our overall experience did not meet expectations. My mother was staying in the room next to ours and found bugs in her unit, which was concerning. The television also lacked a channel guide, so it was difficult to know what was playing without manually flipping through every channel. Parking was another challenge. The self-parking garage has a very low clearance, and our truck could not fit. As a result, we were required to pay $50 for valet parking so the vehicle could be parked elsewhere. The walls in the rooms are extremely thin. You can clearly hear upstairs neighbors walking around, as well as doors opening and slamming throughout the hallway, which made it difficult to relax. The pool area was also quite small and not as expected. The one positive aspect of the stay was the breakfast, which was good and I would rate around an 8/10. Overall, the stay was disappointing and did not meet our expectations. Unfortunately, we likely would not choose to stay here again

The hotel has a great location, situated right next to a mall and within about 10 minutes of a nearby beach. Overall, the beds in the room were comfortable, and I appreciated having access to a microwave during my stay. Unfortunately, there were a few issues that affected my experience. The biggest concern was cleanliness, as I found hair on the bathroom walls, in the sink, and on the floor, which felt unpleasant and unhygienic. Upon check-in, very little information was provided about the hotel’s amenities. There was no clear signage directing guests to the pool or fitness center, which I later discovered was located on the third floor. The towel policy was also frustrating. Guests are reportedly charged $25 if towels are not returned during certain hours. When I asked whether I could simply return them to the front desk, I was told no, and the response felt unwelcoming. While the location and room comfort were positives, better cleanliness, clearer communication about amenities, and a more guest-friendly towel process would greatly improve the overall experience.

We stayed at Ala Moana Hotel for 8 nights and had a really lovely experience. The customer service was great from start to finish, and the staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The room was spacious and comfortable, with beautiful views overlooking Waikiki. One of the best parts of staying here was the convenience of being connected to Ala Moana Mall, with plenty of dining options, shops, and amenities nearby. The location was also ideal for us. It is far enough from the busier parts of Waikiki to feel a little more relaxed, but still close enough to easily enjoy Waikiki when we wanted to. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return.
