The Coconut Waikiki is a charming, human-scale hotel, peaceful and ideally located just a few minutes’ walk from the beach. The property is very clean and has a slightly vintage feel, but this is balanced by comfortable, high-quality bedding and spacious rooms. We specifically requested a quiet room, and this was perfectly accommodated. The staff consistently met our expectations and went above and beyond—when we asked to arrive one day earlier than planned, our request was handled quickly and efficiently, while maintaining the original room rate. We particularly appreciated the complimentary coffee and popcorn, which added a welcoming touch. The reception staff and valet were outstanding—always friendly, smiling, and readily available to assist. Overall, a very pleasant stay that we would happily recommend.

I had a great experience staying at this hotel. The staff at the front desk were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and respectful, especially the ladies working during the weekday mornings. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with useful amenities such as a refrigerator and a safe. One of the highlights of our stay was the beautiful view overlooking the Ala Wai Canal. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for the price. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay. Thank you to the staff for making our visit enjoyable!

We had the best experience at Coconut Waikiki Hotel. We celebrated my son's 18th bday there and it was fantastic!!! Truly one of our favorite hotel stays ever. There’s something about the size and energy—it’s small, boutique, intimate, and just feels good to be there. The service was amazing, Macy at the front desk was the best!!! And the valet ( shoot forgot his name!! ..Morning shift) were fantastic! -the rooms were perfect, and the little extras for locals made it feel so thoughtful and personal. The location is ideal too—close to everything but still calm. Honestly, even compared to some of the more expensive hotels, this one stands out. We’ll always stay here when we do our Honolulu staycation. Five stars, easily.

Stayed here for 4 nights at the beginning of April 2026. Staff were kind enough to give us a room upgrade. Room was spacious, clean, and had an amazing view from the balcony. Perfect for those who don't like the constant hustle and busyness of the main waikiki beach area. Perfect to location to be close enough to shops but also secluded for peace and quiet. Had laundry facilities that we found very useful. Very helpful and friendly staff.

I had the most relaxing stay at this Coconut Waikiki Hotel during my vacation. The design is super bright and cheerful with a cool retro vibe that instantly puts you in a great mood. My room was very spacious, clean, and came with a little kitchenette which was perfect for storing snacks and drinks. The location is wonderful because it sits in a quieter part of town but is still just a short walk to the main beach and tons of great restaurants. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly, and hanging out by the pool area in the afternoon was the perfect way to wind down.
