The hotel has a fairly good location, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. I asked to check into my room one hour earlier, but unfortunately it was refused. The rooms are quite small, and the shower is very poorly maintained. The water pressure is very weak, and it constantly drips. The beds are rather uncomfortable. The air conditioning is extremely loud and is right next to the bed. You basically can’t sleep with it on—you can’t really have both the AC running and sleep at the same time. The rooms are very, very run-down. Old carpet, old beds, outdated furnishings. So something urgently needs to be done here.

Aqua Aloha Surf Waikiki is a great option if you’re looking for an affordable hotel in Waikiki. The staff are friendly and welcoming and really show aloha. The location is convenient, just a short walk from Waikiki Beach, and the hotel is clean, comfortable, and well-kept. Overall, a solid value for anyone wanting to stay near the beach without overpaying.

I’m not normally the type to leave reviews, but I had a great time here that was too worth writing about! The staff was wonderful (especially Sina and Lance!) and were incredibly accommodating and helpful in making this vacation easy. From free luggage storage after checkout to a great massage place in the lobby, this hotel was a hidden gem. Stellar walkability to local restaurants and 5 minutes from the beach, making this is a great local option. Thanks to the team for making this a great vacation!

I booked this as a last minute stay to have somewhere to crash for the night. Luckily only booked it for the first night of my trip. See below: Positives: Great location (close to the beach and shops), price (very budget friendly), cool movie rental kiosk in the lobby, friendly staff, secure room for leaving luggage. Negatives: The room was musty, old, extremely small, and had an old AC unit that was extremely loud and barely cooling the room. I mean LOUD. It felt like I was listening to a lawnmower in the room and it wasn’t even cooling the room. My asthma immediately acted up when I entered my room. It was slightly dirty, missing batteries in the TV remote, and the overall vibe of the hotel was old, dark and gloomy. I understand it’s a budget hotel but I stayed at another place a few blocks down for the remainder of my trip and it was way better. Large room, clean, bright, and a really strong but quiet AC. And yes, it’s also an old building. Sorry but it was super disappointing so I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay there.

The room was extremely congested and unclean, and the lack of maintenance was clearly evident throughout the property. For a room at this price point, the overall condition was very disappointing. Before booking, we were told that breakfast was included, but after arrival we were informed otherwise, which felt misleading and unprofessional. The only major positive aspect of this hotel is its excellent location. It is centrally located, within walking distance of Waikiki Beach, and close to the downtown nightlife and attractions.
