Home Away from Home | Absolutely LOVED my stay at the Royal Sonesta Chicago Downtown ☺️ The staff truly made this experience unforgettable. Lucas, Arturo, and Rachel were beyond welcoming throughout my entire stay 🩷 Professional, attentive, personable and incredibly accommodating. They created such a cozy, inviting atmosphere from the moment I arrived and gave amazing recommendations throughout the week that made my time in Chicago even better. My room was beautiful and the river view was absolutely GORGEOUS 💫✨ Waking up to that view started the day perfectly. Every part of the experience felt polished, relaxing, and upscale. This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. Can’t wait to come back to my Sonesta family when I return to Chicago in the coming months!

Location is unbeatable. The views are amazing. Great hotel for great price. Super clean, renovated rooms. It ia not too luxury hotel but it is not super far from it. I would put all 5 stars but I think k it needs more elevators and a bigger check in area. It gets quite busy. Will stay here while in Chicago.

The room was very nice, clean & spacious, the lobby was very clean, set up nicely & warm during an extremely cold weekend, very accommodating even brought us up a microwave upon request. All of this while being in a great location with great views & within walking distance from everything you could possibly need. Will definitely be staying here again when we return to Chicago!

The Royal Sonesta has an exceptional location right along the river, making it a standout choice for visitors looking to be in the heart of the city. While the hotel is well maintained and comfortable, it feels slightly less modern and updated compared to some nearby properties, ultimately the only reason it falls just short of a perfect rating in my book. The on site restaurant and bar offer an inviting atmosphere, and the rooms are clean, comfortable, and haven't had a bad view yet. Its location is another major highlight, with the Magnificent Mile just a 10–12 minute walk away and a wide variety of restaurants and coffee shops within five minutes. Overall, it’s a highly enjoyable place to stay and one I would happily return to.

For anyone looking for an amazing location to stay in downtown Chicago, this hotel is a home run! I've stayed here several times for work for 5-night stays and it's a solid property. This is a boutique style hotel (not too big) that is close to everything in downtown. Pricing is decent, the rooms are large and always super clean with tons of amenities, and I was so pleased with the level of hospitality that the staff offered. Those that I came into contact frequently during the week that provided a memorable experience in the Lobby and Front Desk were: Satara, Josh, Lucas, Jesse, Arturo, Hirpa, and Charles. In the Restaurant Hoyt's, Diana greeted me warmly every morning and she did an amazing job especially when times got busy. Special shout to Jose and Juan who took great care of me as well. Oh and the gym is available 24/7 with machines, free weights, cables, benches, and cardio equip. (eucalyptus towels are a nice touch!) Looking forward to my next visit soon!
