We had a wonderful stay at the Courtyard by Marriott New Orleans during our girls’ trip! The location was perfect — close to everything we wanted to see and do, making it easy to explore the city without a lot of hassle. The true highlight of our stay was A’Jaya. She was an absolute gem and made our trip even more enjoyable. She took the time to give us detailed local directions, explained the streetcar routes to all the places on our list, and offered fantastic restaurant recommendations. Her knowledge, kindness, and genuine enthusiasm were phenomenal and made us feel so welcome. Customer service like hers is rare, and it truly elevated our entire experience. If you stay here, be sure to connect with A’Jaya — she is the jewel of this hotel! We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting New Orleans.

This hotel was perfect- it was priced more affordably than nearby hotels and it was perfect! The rooms were comfortable and clean, the staff was so helpful and kind, and the location was incredible! I was able to walk all over and there are so many restaurants a stone’s throw from the hotel. It’s also directly across from a trolley stop, making it super convenient to get wherever you need to go. Also, the gym had a Peloton- I try to look that up before booking and didn’t see it mentioned anywhere but that’s a HUGE selling point for me! This was perfect and next time I come to NOLA I’ll definitely plan on staying here!

Everything changes—and not always for the better. Sadly, my longtime go-to spot in New Orleans has started to slip. I reserved well in advance and even called to double-check that I’d be getting a room with a roll-in shower. On arrival, things initially looked promising: a big automatic entrance door and a wheelchair ramp. But that’s where the problems began. At the top of the ramp, carts and stands were blocking the path, making it difficult to maneuver independently. I was placed in Room 111—the same room I stayed in six months ago. Unfortunately, the light and wall outlets on the right side of the bed didn’t work. That’s not a small issue when it’s the only place in the room where I can charge my wheelchair. Maintenance came, attempted a fix, and said they’d return. They never did. Five days later, I checked out, left the state, and the problem was still unresolved. The shower itself was technically roll-in, but the hanging shower rod didn’t work, and the soap and shampoo dispensers were mounted far too high to be reachable from a wheelchair. These are basic accessibility details that matter—especially for full-time wheelchair users. I’m genuinely disappointed. I’ve stayed here at least four times before and never experienced this many issues. It’s still a great option in terms of price and location, but at this point, it’s not truly accessible or reliable for wheelchair guests. I was also surprised to find that nearly the entire staff appears to be new. Everyone was pleasant, but many lacked basic knowledge of the area—something you’d expect in a major tourist destination. I hope this place gets back to the standard it once held, because it used to be a solid, dependable choice. Right now, though, it falls short.

Stayed here during Mardi Gras. Rooms were clean and comfy and all hotel staff was very friendly. Pleasantly surprised that even during Mardi Gras it wasn’t chaotic inside the hotel and the balcony room had a perfect view of all the parades! Will definitely be back next time

We arrived from Canada for business in financial services and checked in around 1 PM after being up since 3:45 AM. Our initial experience at the front desk was disappointing. The staff member was unenthusiastic, and gave the impression she didn’t enjoy her role. When I explained that my husband had meetings and we were hoping to get into a room as soon as possible, her response was simply that nothing was available and to wait for a call. After stepping out briefly, we returned and had the pleasure of dealing with Lindsay at the front desk. The difference was night and day. The moment I mentioned we were waiting for a room, she immediately took initiative, reassured us, and got us into a room quickly, without hesitation. Lindsay demonstrated what great customer service actually looks like. It’s not just what you say, it’s how you say it in customer service and she clearly cares about her work and the guest experience. She is a true asset to this hotel.
