Brittny Saville 2 months agoNo complaints or issues! I suggest to rent an “interior windowless room” if you don’t want noise. The exterior rooms you will hear all street noise and trolley out front all night. It’s an old hotel off of Canal Street but accessible to everything. Valet was quick and convenient. My room was cute. The only thing I hated was the “open” shower instead of doors. I think showers should be closed to allow steam and warm to stay in the shower ☺️ there is a cute balcony on floor 2 that guests can use to eat or smoke (or just people watch like I did). The bar is tiny and I didn’t end up needing it. The hotel is very secure, you need a room card to enter building or stairwells or elevators. I traveled here as a single woman and had no concerns. I was able to walk around at night and in the morning nearby with no issues. All staff were friendly and accommodating.
Elise Ensing a month agoThe hotel itself is very nice and inviting! We booked through Expedia and didn’t have any issues upon check in. We were upgraded to a corner suite. While I’m incredibly thankful for the upgrade, this did bring some discomfort when it came to sleeping. Unfortunately this corner suite has a beautiful view of Canal street, therefore lots of hustle and bustle… & noise. Noise from Bourbon street kept us up. This is a PRIME location though! Streetcars are always running both Cannel and St Charles! As mentioned, Bourbon st is a block or so away. Royal and Chartres street are also very close and no party scene. We preferred these two streets. Easy walk to French market and Cafe Du Monde. It was nice to venture out, come back to the room for a refresh, and head back out. If I were to return to New Orleans, I would stay here again, but with a different room instead of right on the corner. If you’re a hard sleeper, you might be fine! I’m thankful the CVS a block down had earplugs!
Antonia Guerra 4 months agoWe were there for Mardi Gras for the first time, and this hotel was perfect! We were greeted by Joianas, and she was so sweet. She told us everything we needed to know about the hotel and the area, and she also helped us get a better room right next to the balcony. She really made us feel like special guests. The room was very clean and comfortable. We had the best view of the parade, and the atmosphere with the other hotel guests and employees was so fun. It seemed like everyone was having a great time. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and are hoping to be back next year!
Rob Riggs 3 months agoDo not stay here. It's in the seedy part of New Orleans and the staff is atrocious. We tried to stay for two nights and after one night, the front desk started calling us at 7 am asking us to change rooms, because they wanted to perform plumbing maintenance. We asked them what comps they would give us and they said none, so we refused to change rooms as we were only staying there for about 12 more hours. So then they had housekeeping come into our room without knocking at 8am. Then they had a maintenance man start knocking on our door at 9am to perform service. This establishment doesn't care in the least about its customers. And it's in the seedy part of the quarter. They shut down all the lights in the lobby at night. You have to use keys to enter even in the middle of the day, for everyone safety. I know, I know, it looks cheaper and appealing. But let our experience help you and do not stay here. Pick a nicer, safer hotel nearby.
Kali 8 months agoInitially when we walked into the room we were so excited. It’s was a big spacious bed room, it was away from the street so it was quiet which was a plus. When I pulled back the sheets however, they were stained, seeing the sheets and pillowcases stained I pulled the sheets back further and there was a blood stain and another questionable stain on the mattress pad. The employee came up to change the sheets for us but couldn’t change the mattress cover due to it being late at night and not having access to the one that held the new ones. I asked for a room change due to it being blood on the sheets. We got our new room and were downgraded to a smaller room right next to the street so it was bright and loud. I again, encountered stained sheets and a blood stain on the iron board and another questionable red stain on the door to the bathroom. At this point it was so late, I pulled the dirty sheet off the bed and made due with what we had. Overall an unfortunate experience. We came into town for just a couple of nights to celebrate my birthday and sadly did not have a great stay as far as accommodations went. The late night employee was as helpful as he could be given he was the only one there.
