I booked a room through booking.com, and that website oversold the specific room I had booked. I went round and round with booking.com with little help from their customer service. The front desk manager, Theus, was so incredibly helpful, worked with me, spoke with booking.com on my behalf…twice…and did absolutely everything he could to get me and my family into a room. After he spoke with booking.com, I was in a room 15 minutes later and able to get my kiddos to bed. The hotel is clean, rooms are remodeled, beds are comfortable, and they even had oatmilk at breakfast (one of my kiddos can only have oatmilk), and Theus himself deserves 5 stars for how much he cares about getting people into a hotel room that works for them! I’ve stayed in other area hotels visiting family here, and the customer service at the Fairfield here is easily the best.

Fairfield Inn KC was a fantastic stay! The location is perfect—right on the free streetcar line, which made getting around incredibly convenient. The room was clean, comfortable, and very nice. The staff truly made the experience exceptional—NeNe, Carlos, and another team member whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch were all warm, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. Excellent hospitality all around. I would definitely stay here again!

It's a clean place. Always smells nice & rooms I've experienced were clean & well stocked. Location is ok, close to highways but you're going to need a car to access dining or places to chill. (Clubs or bars) ( could always call an uber, ride the bus, etc...) Breakfast is okay , but could use more on the menu. Had the same, old self-made waffles Every hotel has. Cold cereal and milk of course. Bagels or toast. The only thing warm on the menu were crappy scrambled eggs And not very good sausage patties. ( I never eat them).. I had a dead battery one morning but thankfully there was a nice middle aged gentleman in a Toyota pickup that had slept in the parking lot for the evening due to the hotel being full. ( he saw me struggling & volunteered to help.He had me up and going in no time. (Turned out I had a loose connection at my battery as well as some corrosion. The nice gentleman tightened my battery connector, tested my battery with his meter & even removed the corrosion for me). & he wouldn't accept my payment. I tried to give him a little money but he wouldn't accept it. He just said for me to, "pass it on. Pay it forward"... Anyone else would have charged me over $100 and likely charged me for a new battery,( that I didn't need) another $120-$180 due to the battery type my car requires... Thanks again sir, if you happen to see this. Sometimes people will surprise you. Don't judge folks by their looks. This guy was sharp. Was very intelligent and quite knowledgeable on vehicles as well and what a sweet individual! Felt bad he and his cute dog had to sleep in his truck, he deserved better. Said he was disabled due to an accident & lost his home cause he couldn't do the work he was trained to do so wasn't being paid. Wish you all the luck sir! I intend to do just that. Karma, you know!

Loved staying here, so convenient to all the things we wanted to do downtown and visit our family. T, the Friday & Saturday desk clerk, made us feel so welcome. We also watched him handle difficult customers with professionalism and significant patience, willing to go to bat with a third party provider on behalf of a guest. Thank you T for taking care of us and all your guests so well.

This was an excellent location with great parking. The staff was exceptionally friendly and professional. The building is going through a bit of a renovation so it looks a bit old in some spots and have been refreshed in others. I would definitely stay here again. I just would like to see it much cleaner and more refreshed.
