The two things that really make this hotel great is the convenient location on the streetcar line and the customer service!! I stayed here for one night without a car and it was a really nice hotel! I loved the layout of my King bed room with the bed facing the window and it was clean!! You can tell they upgraded this hotel with the AC, showers, and TV system. The price was worth the location and saved so much money on Ubers and my feet on walking so much. The customer service was amazing, John checked us in and was so kind and helpful. He gave us maps for the streetcar and truly started our trip off right. That night the ice machines weren’t working and the two ladies at the front desk (who I didn’t get their names) apologized and took me to the kitchen for ice. They were also so kind! The next morning when eating breakfast another kitchen worker announced that if anyone needed ice from her she is happy to provide it. She had an amazing and positive attitude that really brights up the room. The only complaint I have are the pillows. They felt really flat to me but I could have requested more and I didn’t. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel!

Even before we checked in the staff was very helpful and accommodating. We had a giant TV delivered to the property and needed to transport it two blocks away to the convention center. The GM, Christine, pulled her vehicle around and offered to take it for us, but unfortunately the TV was too big. This is the level of attention and care that every staff member showed throughout the stay...not just to me but to others I saw needing assistance. I've never been as pleased with a hotel stay than this one. Christine, Tyler, Shantel, Jason, Su, Nikita, and Alisha all consistently went above and beyond what you'd expect from a hotel staff. Every interaction and request was met with a smile and some laughter. Looking forward to my next visit to KC!

Beware! If you stay here your car may get broken into. We stayed at this hotel for the easy access to the T mobile center for a concert. It was an easy walk, the room was great and the breakfast was good. However the parking situation is TERRIBLE. you have to park in a lot that is not owned by the hotel adjacent to the hotel. You are given a "parking pass" that states that the hotel is not responsible for any damages to your vehicle. From the get go this did not give me an easy feeling so I made sure to take anything valuable out of our vehicle. Low and behold the next morning a couple in the elevator told us that 12 vehicles had been broken into the night before. We were not exited for the trip out to our vehicle to see if we were one of the unlucky few. Fortunately we were not especially since it was in the negative temperatures, but there were soooo many vehicles with their windows busted out. It was a sad sight to see. Obviously the hotel cannot control this but they could purchase their own lot and gate it in. For the price we paid for a single night stay that shouldn't be a concern. For that reason I don't think we'd stay there again, it's not worth the risk.

Good location, but way overpriced, difficult to access, and not sure it is safe. It was difficult to check in as the drive into the hotel was completely blocked and there was no clear area to park. The front door wasn't working and the front desk told us it was because someone had shot at it, so we had to enter through only one alleyway. We spent the first night and it was uncomfortably hot, and the AC did not work. When we let the front desk know they offered a discount, but were unwilling to offer a room with AC. I know KC has a mixed reputation, but a hotel with gun violence causing a dysfunctional door and no AC is really not worth it. We have stayed at the Hotel Indigo and other hotels in Crossroads that had functioning AC and felt a lot safer. I would not recommend this hotel.

Unethical, Unresponsive, and Unacceptable Treatment We booked and paid in full for a room at Hampton Inn & Suites Kansas City Downtown Crossroads for my 19-year-old son, who was traveling for government work. He drove nearly two hours to this hotel, only to be refused check-in solely because of his age. If this hotel enforces a 21+ policy, it should be clearly disclosed before taking payment. Instead, they accepted the reservation and our money, then turned him away at the desk. Despite denying him the room entirely, the hotel kept the money and has ignored every attempt to contact management for a refund. No response. No explanation. No accountability. Turning away a government employee on official work travel, leaving him stranded after a long drive, and still charging for the room is completely unacceptable. Charging for a service you refuse to provide is unethical, plain and simple. I strongly advise anyone booking here to reconsider unless you’re willing to risk paying for a room you may never be allowed to use.
