Harrah's Kansas City - A Caesars Rewards Destination

I would like to share a concern about my experience at Harrah’s Kansas City. While playing at a table game, I stepped away from the table and used my vape a short distance away because other dealers had previously told me that was acceptable as long as I was away from the table. One dealer informed me that vaping was not allowed in that area. I respectfully explained that I had been told differently before and simply asked if a manager could clarify the rule so I could follow the casino’s policy correctly. Instead of receiving a professional explanation, the interaction became uncomfortable. The dealer challenged me by asking if I wanted to bet $100 that I was wrong. When the manager, Josh, arrived, his attitude felt unnecessarily aggressive and dismissive. Rather than calmly explaining the policy, he spoke in a way that made me feel unwelcome and as though he was looking for a confrontation. I had no intention of arguing and only wanted clarification so I could comply with the rules. I fully respect casino policies and would have gladly accepted a simple explanation. Instead, I felt that I was treated as a problem simply for asking a question and seeking clarification. My concern is not the rule itself, but the manner in which I was treated by both the dealer and Manager Josh. A simple, respectful explanation would have resolved the situation immediately. I hope this feedback can be used to improve customer service and ensure guests are treated respectfully when asking questions. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Not a bad hotel. The service was good. Rooms very clean. This hotel needs more restaurants. They also need a pool and bar outside. Hot tub would be great also. During the day there is nothing to do. You can’t nap cause the rooms are to bright. We had a tornado warning with danger alarms going off in the area and there was no announcement to evacuate your room to stair well

I love the rooms here! Even if you don't get a suite that has a separate shower & tub, all rooms have a nice tub generally big enough for 2! The beds are comfortable. Some areas of the hotel could use updating, but always have a comfortable stay in a nice clean room!

Visiting Kansas for a funeral, so decided to book our last 2 days near the airport. I used my Ceasar's Rewards to reserve a King supreme room. When we got to the front desk, the Concierge was able to upgrade us to a King Jr. Suite for not much more. It was so nice to relax in a plush bed and bath and rejuvenate before flying back to CA. The casino is not so great. But staying close to downtown, the plaza area and not too far from the airport was fabulous! Harrahs gave us excellent service, and our stay was just what we needed. Love Kansas City ❤️

I don’t leave reviews often, but I had to post one about this place. We stayed for four nights, and this hotel is simply a dump. The hallways smell like cigarette smoke, and the beds were lumpy, worn out, and felt like they hadn’t been replaced in decades. For bedding, you get a sheet, comforter (with no cover), and then a sheet to lay on top of the comforter. Honestly, that’s how the rooms looked too. The Wi-Fi in our room did not work the entire time we were there. They kept saying IT was working on it, but it was never fixed over the course of 5 days. The TVs and in-room services are completely outdated. Forget Netflix or any popular streaming service, you’re stuck using their ancient system. The hotel is also in the middle of nowhere, so don’t expect to walk anywhere. The funniest part was the glass table in our room that looked like it was supposed to be for working or eating, except there were no chairs. The only chair in the room was an ancient cushioned corner seat that looked like it had been there since 1970. So when we Doordashed food, we had to go downstairs and find somewhere else to eat it because we literally had no where to sit besides on the floor or beds. Oh, one more thing I forgot to add. We paid for an early check-in on our first day, because we had a very early flight into KC and were dead tired. Early check-in is supposed to allow us to check in between 9am to 12pm. Well we showed up at 10:30am, after calling and speaking to the front desk via phone at 9:15am, where they said we can show up anytime in this window. However, when we showed up, they said a room wasn't available for us. We didn't actually get a message until 12:45pm that our room was available, but yet we still were charged for early check-in. The one positive I would say was the room was at least clean and the staff doing the cleaning (we never had our room cleaned), were very friendly. Would I recommend this place or ever stay here again? Heck no.
