The rooms were poor quality, one of the outlets actually had a piece of metal stuck in it so we couldn't use it. Walls are paper thin so anything happening in the room next to you, you can hear. Cracks in the walls and ceiling. Seemed to be a lot of vagrants in and out of the facility. Lits of rubber gloves laying in the parking lot. Breakfast was horrible. Food tasted like card board. Definitely will never stay at this ine ever again and I do not recommend it.

STAY AWAY from this Holiday Inn and Suites more like a run down motel 6; Holiday Inn Express & Suites Kansas City Sport Complex Area By IHG 8551 East Blue Parkway, Kansas City, MO, 64133 is a total joke. The person at the checkout desk seems to be wearing many hats nobody to help him out. He went out of his way to move us to another room that has hot water in the shower room 223. Also the remote control cover on room 223 is also missing. This room also is not clean you can look at pictures I posted of both bathrooms room 223 and room 216. We are not the only ones complaining at this Holiday Inn and Suites! We have no hot water in the shower the only hot water we have is from the sink in the bathroom and the cover for the remote in our bedroom is missing in room 216. We will fight the charge with our American Express as soon as we checkout tomorrow! To top it all off they told us there will be a hold of $100 for incidentals! At the other Holiday Inn and Suites in Colby Kansas they never asked us for a deposit they say it will be returned as soon as we checkout! The hotel is dirty, the rooms are dirty with stains on the carpet, the walls of the room and the doors, the tub has a pink mildew going on the bottom of the tub and the surroundings of it room 216. Let me not get started on room 223 the tub has a stain too on the bottom is totally disgusting! 🤢 If Holiday Inn owns this hotel they will here from us. It is ridiculous that they have this hotel open when it should be shut down! Shame on you Holiday Inn! 😡😡😡 I do not recommend this Holiday Inn and Suites stay away!

I recently attempted to stay at Holiday Inn, and it was, without question, one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The room was absolutely unacceptable. The sheets clearly had not been changed — there was hair on the bedding. Even worse, we encountered bed bugs. No guest should ever have to deal with that. The entire property was filthy. The walls were dirty, the floors were unclean, and the carpets were heavily stained. The hallways smelled strongly of marijuana despite “no smoking” signs posted throughout the building. There were also rats visible in the parking lot. In the lobby, there were individuals who appeared to be strung out on drugs, which made the environment feel unsafe and uncomfortable. We did not feel safe or comfortable staying, so we left and went to another hotel. Despite these conditions, we received zero refund. This property is severely lacking in cleanliness, safety, and proper management. I would strongly discourage anyone from staying here.

Shah was amazing when it came to customer service, friendliness, and went well above and beyond making sure me and my wife had a great stay. We had a minor hiccup initially, but he made sure everything was fixed and addressed every concern with professionalism and a great attitude. Will recommend this hotel!

Easily the worst Holiday Inn/HIE in the country. When we arrived two older gentleman (managers? owners?) were unloading a Toyota minivan FULL of TVs into the hotel...so no luggage cart. It only went downhill from there. The hotel is filthy..hallways, elevators, and especially the rooms. When we opened the door to the room, I was hit with a cloud of odor; a mix of smoke, urine, and air fresheners. We immediately went to the front desk, asking for a refund. While the attendant tried to get us into another room, we politely declined, and asked for a refund instead. We were told a refund would appear in 3-5 days. Guess what? No refund, and now they refuse to talk/answer the phone. WORST HOLIDAY INN ON EARTH!!!!!
