I recently stayed here and was rushing to get out the door, leaving behind a $500 pair of headphones. I realized on the plane and called front desk who immediately directed me to housekeeping. Once on the line they basically said I had to wait until housekeeping turned it in then I can contact front desk on how I wanted it returned. No taking down info, no asking extra details, just basically throwing the issue back and forth between different branches. I called security to file a report and was on the line with the most amazing angel named, Roxanne. She was so sweet, so helpful, and so understanding. I was starting to come to terms with the fact that I would never see those headphones again and then Roxanne answered! She had people up there looking for my headphones immediately and went through the whole process with me with so much care and kindness! Although my experience with everyone else was alright for the most part, Roxanne really solidified that I would want to come back to this hotel because I know I’m in safe hands if she’s there!!

Known locally as "The Cal" and beloved by Hawaiian visitors — the aloha spirit is genuine here. The Hawaiian food at the hotel restaurants is surprisingly authentic. Rooms are comfortable and affordable. Casino is friendly and low-key. Staff treats everyone like family. A unique piece of Vegas culture.

Great location in downtown. Lots of shopping and restaurants around the area as well. Check in was fast and efficient. Great customer service from the Valet to front desk, and beyond. Well maintained and clean casino and hallways. Rooms were a good size, comfortable bed and pillows.

The cal is my usual go to, but this time we got put in a room next to the fitness center! Weights dropping and banging, we heard every bit of it…. A/C makes a tapping noise every hour and running toilet and great view of the roof. Also elevators was having an issue during our stay. Resort fee will only get you one bar of soap and one tiny bottle of shampoo and conditioner to cover three guests???? Hotel turning into more profit, less aloha…. Only pro is the refrigerator in room

We had a great time at the California Hotel. The premium room was very comfortable and the food selections were awesome. The famous oxtail soup was very delicious. A lot of guests from Hawaii. We will definitely be back! Aloha!
