The key card system was down so you had to be escorted to your room by staff anytime you wanted to get into your room. Under the conditions, as it so happened about 4 people arrived at the same time to check in, the front desk associate Noell handled the situation with a calm manner and kept a positive attitude. We had drinks and appetizers at the bar. The chicken quesadilla and pinto beans were excellent. Our bartender Grace was pouring and making drinks non stop with a smile. Very great service and she makes an excellent Old Fashioned. I did not catch the name of the other staffers in the bar or the ones escorting to rooms but everyone was helpful and friendly. The room was clean and a good size.

I used to love staying at this hotel but I don't plan on ever staying here again. We are titanium bonvoy members. The concierge lounge breakfast wasn't any better than marriott's lowest end breakfast buffet. Scrambled eggs, no salsa, no cheese, or anything else that can be put on it to make it a little tastier. The pineapple wasn't ripe. There was a little bit of melon and watermelon. Nothing to speak of. No other fruit. They came and asked if I wanted juice because they don't have juice available for you to take. To be downstairs to have the concierge breakfast at eight fifteen in the morning. There should have been better options. There was toast in bagel, but no croissants or anything else like danish or muffins to speak of. Again? I've stayed at the Fairfield, a town place, and had significantly better breakfast buffet. There was a coffee cappuccino meat machine. There was also plain coffee. There might have been t bags or tea, but I did not see any. As far as the hotel renovations itself, what I have seen seems very nice. The only problem is either they're cleaning Solution, they use, or they're deodorizer they use cause an immediate allergic response for me with coughing and wheezing. They shouldn't be smelled, they should just be effective. Unsure about service, but it seemed that there was a very skeleton crew. The elevator is broken.Probably the same one that people complained about three weeks ago.

Most extremely awful experience ever. The positive things to say is manager was nice and somewhat helpful. But really hard to eventually get to talk to them. French toast on restaurant for breakfast was amazing. An atmosphere inside was not bad. Phone didn't work door in the bathroom, TV didn't work, phone charger didn't work, AC didn't work. Only one working elevator and waited 15-20 minutes per elevator ride. Super confusing signs never could find it working staircase. The only stair wheel was extremely disgusting and led to walls not exits. Icemaker had to go to the fifth floor and we, you're fifteen twenty minutes for the elevator just to get ice. Staff constantly ignoring and acting like they can't fix problems. Then, you have to pay for parking. And you have to pull like a 100 and something cars away from the building, and there's nothing spectacular about it. No safety parking, no gated parking. No attendant. Had to contact corporate spin an hour on the phone with that and additional hour on the phone with a booking company and no one really has success. Calling the hotel that we stayed at the phone is constantly rings. When you go to a place like this, have you expected 4 star service...but receive half a star.

Pros + Renovated rooms are pretty nice + Free bottled water Cons - One of the elevators was out. Not that big of a problem. - Parking costs $10/day. I have a problem with this when there are SO many parking spots, no gated access, and I have to walk back to my car to place the stupid parking permit. - The door to a housekeeping room was open, and inside there was an open electrical breaker panel. This didn’t see safe, so I called the front desk. After being put on hold and waiting a couple of minutes, the desk staff said she’d have someone take care of it. The next day, the door and panel were still open. - As others have mentioned, noise from the lobby when I’m trying to go to sleep - Music in the lobby started at about 6 a.m. I could hear just enough vocals for it to be annoying. - Check-in was weird. The person at the desk acted like she couldn’t find my reservation. Then she acted like she was doing me a favor to honor the rate and king bed I booked. It was on the Marriott app; I don’t know what the problem was. - I have Gold Elite status but didn’t get an upgrade - unless there are actually worse rooms than mine on the 2nd floor. My coworkers got high floors. The view from my window and noise from the exhaust vents was crappy. - The same person at the desk was very terse when I gave her the wrong room number when I was getting some cookies. I said 203 instead of 230; she just said “no” instead of something more polite. - Unlike some other hotels/chains, I didn’t get a txt to welcome me or ask how my stay was. - Housekeeping knocked on my door at 7:40 a.m. the day I was checking out, despite the checkout time being noon (or 2 p.m. on request with Gold Elite). There was no “do not disturb” placard. I would have been more annoyed if I hadn’t been awake, but I was already up…with the lobby noise. - WiFi seemed a little sketchy on both of my devices the first night. I accidentally clicked the standard option instead of the upgrade (Gold Elite) and then couldn’t get through the upgrade page to switch. It kept claiming I wasn’t on hotel WiFi. - I didn’t get an email receipt or points credit on my Bonvoy account. I had to call for the receipt a couple of days later and the points after 2 weeks. I tried to check that my corporate Amex/Concur system wasn’t to blame; all signs point to this property so far.

We stayed at the Albuquerque Marriott Pyramid North from May 23–26, 2026. Overall, the stay was okay, but there were several issues that made the experience disappointing, especially for the price. First, the front desk staff experience was very inconsistent. One employee was genuinely kind, welcoming, and helpful, but most of the others seemed tired of their jobs and not very interested in helping guests. A major issue happened with breakfast. Before arriving, I called the hotel to verify whether we could purchase breakfast for just one day even though we didn’t book the breakfast package. I was told yes. Then, before going downstairs to eat, I verified again with the front desk, and again they said yes. However, once we got to the restaurant area, the staff there didn’t know what to do and told us we actually couldn’t. They called the manager, who didn’t greet us or even say good morning. She simply explained that the only option was to pay around $50 total for breakfast, which honestly did not seem worth it for a basic buffet of eggs and standard breakfast items. We ended up skipping it and DoorDashing food for most of the trip instead. Housekeeping staff were friendly, but attention to detail and communication were lacking. We requested housekeeping during our stay because we wanted fresh sheets after the second night. The room was cleaned and the bed was remade, but we noticed some of my wife’s socks were still under the sheets, which made it obvious the same sheets had simply been reused. Also, when we first arrived, the room didn’t have conditioner, and neither the room prep nor housekeeping noticed until we specifically asked for it. We also requested a late checkout at the front desk and were told we could stay until 1 PM. Unfortunately, that information was never communicated to housekeeping. Staff kept knocking on our door asking when we were leaving, and every time we explained that we had been approved for a late checkout, they responded that nobody had informed them. Then another housekeeper came later and said the same thing. It made the last part of our stay feel stressful and unorganized instead of relaxing. The pool also needs attention. It was not very clean during our stay, and unfortunately my wife ended up getting an ear infection afterward. Another issue was the air conditioning. The AC only goes down to 65°F, which honestly still feels warm during Albuquerque heat, especially during the daytime. We stayed in room 207, and the room layout/view was disappointing. The curtains covered an entire wall, making it seem like there would be a large scenic view, but the actual window only covered about a quarter of the wall and faced the parking lot. If having a good view matters to you, I would recommend requesting a different room. One thing that also made us uncomfortable was the breakfast policy regarding the buffet. We were told only elite members could access certain breakfast options, but the interaction felt dismissive. Since we had come downstairs in pajamas like many hotel guests do in the morning, we couldn’t help but feel judged based on our appearance. Honestly, the hotel itself is beautiful and has a lot of potential, but experiences like these made the stay feel frustrating and poorly managed. A few staff members were genuinely great, but overall the hospitality and communication did not meet expectations for a Marriott property. Unfortunately, because of these experiences, I personally would not stay here again.
