Love this sweet, retro hotel in the heart of downtown Raleigh. Our room was clean & comfortable! Staff were very kind & helpful. Great lounge with lovely cocktails, delish coffee & muffins/scones for breakfast. Parking was easy & it felt safe. We will return! 💖

We stayed here in March and had a fantastic weekend in Raleigh. The reviews speak for themselves and it's true and evident the staff love their jobs. We loved the lounge area and outdoor seating. I loved that the staff were so personable. Its something you don't necessarily find very often. They weren't trying to sell you on where to shop or eat. Just suggestions of their individual favorite spots.

The Longleaf Hotel and Lounge provided an outstanding boutique hotel experience with stylish retro-modern design, comfortable accommodations, and exceptional hospitality. The atmosphere throughout the property felt relaxed, unique, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and extremely comfortable, with thoughtful décor and modern amenities that made the stay feel both cozy and upscale. I especially appreciated the outdoor lounge spaces and the relaxed social atmosphere that gave the hotel a unique personality compared to larger chain hotels. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout the visit. Everything throughout the property appeared clean, organized, and professionally maintained. The location was also excellent for exploring downtown Raleigh restaurants, museums, and nightlife. This is definitely one of the best boutique hotel experiences in Raleigh.

The front desk service was excellent. Super friendly staff and they had good recommendations for nearby restaurants. The lounge is nicely designed and decorated with a mid century feel which was cool. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. However, we were woken up every morning at 6 am by a super loud freight train. Of course the train is out of the hotels control but maybe they could upgrade the windows to be more insulating? The hotel is also very close to a busy road where there is a lot of car and truck noise at all hours. Finally when we were coming back from breakfast on our last day both room keys stopped working at around 10:30 am. We confirmed check out was 12 pm. They did get it fixed but it took 3 times of us walking to the front desk and back to the room to test the keys which was frustrating.

I stayed at The Longleaf Hotel and Lounge for a couple of nights and overall had a pretty relaxed experience. The place has a retro, mid-century vibe that feels different from the usual chain hotels, which I appreciated right away. It’s not overly fancy, but it’s clean, thoughtfully designed, and has a bit of personality. The room itself was simple but comfortable. The bed was good enough for a decent night’s sleep, and I liked the small details like the local touches in the decor. It didn’t feel cramped, though it’s definitely more on the minimalist side. If you’re expecting luxury amenities, this might not be the spot, but for a casual stay it works well. One of the highlights was the lounge area. It has a laid-back atmosphere, especially in the evening, and it’s a nice place to unwind without needing to go far. It can get a little lively, though, so if you’re sensitive to noise, that’s something to keep in mind. The location is convenient for getting around Raleigh, with downtown spots just a short drive or walk away. Parking was easy, which is always a plus. Overall, it felt like a solid, no-fuss place to stay with a bit more character than your typical hotel. Not perfect, but comfortable and easygoing—good if you just want somewhere straightforward with a slightly unique style.
