Dave Williams 4 months agoNot my idea of a hotel. Pro's are its a very clean modern high tech hotel. Not sure of the pricing as I used my Marriott points. Near just about anything you would want downtown. Con's are the glitchy self check in, horrible elevators (have to use multiple elevators to get to your room from ground level), very very very small rooms (think lower deck inside cabin size on cruise ships, very very hard and uncomfortable bed that is pushed up against the wall requiring someone to crawl in and out of the bed to get to the farther side, no cups or typical amenities typically found in a room, tight fit for two people. The most uncomfortable stay at any hotel I can remember. The final icing on the cake was the parking. The hotel advises to park at the Indeed parking lot across from the hotel for $33. We checked in at 230 pm and checked out at 830 am the next morning only to find the parking cost us $71! Never, ever, ever park at Indeed. Cheaper to park just about anywhere else and walk or take an Uber. Most likely will never stay at this hotel again. There are far better options in Austin.
N H a month ago$659 + taxes for a Tues. night!! My child's dorm room was twice the size of this hotel room. Only one person can walk to the bed at a time let alone brush their teeth at the sink that is also in the walkway. The bed is touching 3 walls, so there is only one way in/out. Good luck to the person that has to climb over the other to get in/out of bed. The shower and toilet are similar to an RV. The only nice thing about the room was the tech. Everything was controlled by an ipad. Location was great, but service was terrible. You have to check yourself into the hotel and program your own key. This was not up to Marriott standards. I was over charged the 1st night and tried to call to correct. I was on hold for 33 minutes and finally gave up. I guess they win on that one, but future guests beware!
Renata TF a month agoThe hotel is modern and the staff is very friendly. The rooms are clean and everything is controled by an iPad that worked perfectly. The gym has a great view too. Location is great, close to the capitol and walking distance to many good restaurantes and cafes. There are some homeless people that hang at the 7th street and sometimes ask for money. Sometimes they just stand there and don’t interact. Overall a great experience and good value for the money. Would definetly stay there again.
Heather Harte a month agoThis is a very unique Marriott partner. It's made more for a 20 -30 year old not a business traveler. If you've ever been on a cruise ship that is what the rooms look like, teeny tiny. Not sure the room was 300 sq ft. The beds are like sleeping in your boyfriends dorm room loft. No top sheet just a duvet on top of a fitted sheet, seemed a little unsanitary although the room was spotless and clean. The desk area to work was super small. No wash clothes. No valet parking, all self serve although there were several nearby parking garages for me to drag my luggage around the streets of Austin. The staff was friendly. The best part about the whole stay was Cameron, the roof top bartender extraordinaire, and a lovely outdoor pool area too. I'd go back just to have a cocktail, but not sure I'd stay again. Oh and the elevators were painfully slow. Great location and price (for their launch) but not the atmosphere I'm looking for as a business traveler. The chain is out of Amsterdam and the decor focuses on the red light district. Unique to say the least. Hope you choose wisely for your next hotel in Austin! Oh and all the controls for the lights or colored lights if you desire and the heat/AC as well as the blinds are all controlled from an iPad. More high tech than I wanted in the middle of the night.
GK 4 months agoRoom itself was compact but modern. Kinda cool. Wouldn't recommend it for couples tho. Comfortable bed. No parking, expensive breakfast and the AC and elevators were acting up while I was there. Also had a huge leak in my room from the ceiling. Not sure if it was AC related. Never got receipt, room stay did not hit my Marriott account either. Could have been a better experience.
