Worst motel we've stayed in for the last 50+ years. No hot water in the bathroom sink, bumpy vinyl flooring, no in-room coffee, continental breakfast very meager, no real clock, only outlets for charging phones by the bed but none for using laptops, tons of light streaming in around drapes, hairs on the sheet so we had to get clean sheets and remake it ourselves, very squeaky bathroom door. We did not get a good night's sleep.

I was driving to Yosemite from San Diego and figured this would be a good in between place. The location is terrible, sketchy people drinking and hanging out in the parking lot, people are loud. I was worried with all my camping gear that someone would break into my car. Found a hair on my pillow and the door was broken and wouldn’t close all the way? The bed at least was comfortable and rooms. were spacious, check in was done quickly. But Skip and pay a little extra for a better hotel. Very very budget feel to this place.

Outside is sketchy and it smells like cat pee but the room inside was remodeled and very nice. Comfy bed. However, the website and app say there is coffee and grab and go breakfast and the office was locked in the morning, so no coffee and no coffee maker in the room. False advertisement.

DO NOT. I REPEAT DO NOT STAY HERE! Everything about it is terrible. The office was hot and smelled like indian food. Room was disgusting. Flies. Toilet paper roll used with what looked like feces on the side of the roll. Homeless tweaker lady sitting right outside my door. As soon as i got out of my truck shes all "give me a sip of your redbull" then proceeded to ask for my name and if i know ivy? Everytime i walked out of my room shes repeat the same questions. Door looked like it had been pryed open. Kids screaming. Homeless tweaker vehicles in back of parking lot. I did not feel safe. At all! I booked through expedia with a no cancelation or refund but called and got refund back after lady in office said i had to contact them to get refund. I drove 25 minues up hwy 99 to. Delano and got a room at best western for $25 more and it was 200% worth it. I feel so much cleaner, safer, and can actually sleep tonight. That was the most horrible hotwl experience i ever had. I sat in the room for 10 minutes and got bit by bug on bed. I did not feel safe. Never again. Bakersfield is terrible i highly recommend staying out of this town not in it.

I recently stayed at Baymont by Wyndham Bakersfield, and while the staff was friendly, kind, and helpful during check-in, the overall condition of the property was very disappointing. The rooms look nothing like the photos online. They are visibly run-down and poorly maintained. The room doors did not properly lock, and the deadbolt battery was exposed. There were noticeable dirt and filth marks behind the doors, holes in the window shades, and the overall appearance felt neglected. There was no hot water the first night and no towels in the room, even though I booked earlier in the day. The following day, they barely had towels available for guests. The pool was completely empty — no water at all, just a dried-out pool. On top of that, there was no breakfast in the morning as advertised. One of the main reasons for paying a higher price at this hotel is for the included breakfast, and it simply was not provided. For the price charged, this stay was not worth it and should be priced like a low-end budget motel. The
