Lots of great things about this hotel. Rooms are clean. Decent pool. Restaurant had good breakfast and dinner. Not a lot of options for dinner, but good for a bite after a long day. Service is excellent, very polite and helpful. The hotel layout is the main reason for the 4 instead of 5, with no great paths to the rooms far from check-in. To minimize the impact you can walk though the courtyard. You can also park your car near entrances closer to your room, however that requires stairs. If you have heavy luggage plan ahead. The other small comment I'll make is one of the ice machines was out on the first floor, making the walk for ice several minutes. I've stayed here many times over the years, and generally am happy and am sure I'll return in the future.

Great place! Total blast from the past with a 70’s vibe. Everything has a very old school feel to it. Unlike most hotels, the rooms have a slider door with a balcony. Pool is large, hot tub is hot… palm trees surround the pool side court yard. Some highway noise on the highway 99 side rooms- which doesn’t bother me. Rodrigo at the front desk is awesome- Very kind and accommodating. Please keep the current feel of this hotel and don’t change a thing!

I stayed at this property from the 18th to the 21st and ended up extending one extra night because I got sick and wasn’t well enough to travel. To be honest, if that hadn’t happened I probably would have checked out earlier. On my second night, while I was in the bedroom, I saw a massive cockroach. I completely panicked as I really hate insects, especially cockroaches. It happened around midnight and I immediately called the front desk. To their credit, the staff handled it quickly and allowed me to change to another room, which I appreciated. Before that incident I actually liked the room. It was spacious and when I first saw it I thought it was nice. However, after seeing the cockroach it completely changed my perception of the stay. It made me question how clean the hotel really was, and unfortunately it really put me off for the rest of my time there. I want to be fair and say that the staff were helpful in the moment and did move me to another room quickly, but the experience itself definitely affected my overall impression.

Couldn’t have had a better stay. Stayed here twice once 10/11-10/13, and again 11/12-11/18. Staff is beyond friendly and accommodating. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. We had no issues with housekeeping rushing checkout. I would recommend this hotel over and over again and will definitely be back.

Once again this is another opportunity for everyone's favorite 🌎 traveled friend to review an experience! I was in Bakersfield, California for a business trip and decided to choose this establishment due to me being an Hilton Honors Member. And of course the 🍪's! There were no issues with my arrival and placement. The gentleman "Albert" was fair in his disposition and professionalism. I believe he might have missed the point when I asked him to what he could to make sure I had an exceptional "$tay?" It's one of those things were its "if you know you know?" "If you don't your ?????" Just a "Detroit" saying. My accommodations were good for the (5) days that I was there. I even purchased another room for (1) night to accommodate some out of town guests that visited me. Between Friday and Saturday 🌙 they ran out of 🍪. So I ate "gluten free" 🍪 those nights. The pool was formidable and the grounds were well kept. The only call out that I have is that I requested a microwave for my room and during checkout I was made aware that there was a ($15) charge for this usage. I was very disappointed that the young lady on the night shift did not make me aware of this charge or did not have the "discretion" to not charge a "Hilton Honors Member" the fee. All in all its always the "little" things that matter........ 4 🌟's.......
