I love the people that I have met that service the hotel. It seems to be in a good safe location. When I walked into the hotel and the room everything seemed great.....but... several negative things came up within the first couple of hours. First of all the rooms lack a microwave and since I have to eat certain things I needed one. The staff was very nice about it and got one for me. When I put the food I got into the fridge it seemed warm. So I went to turn the temperature colder the knob was missing. I called the front desk and they said they removed all the knobs because people couldnt behave with them. I felt like I was being treated like a child. One of the people I had met was nice enough to bring a tool to turn it up but it didnt work. They said I could move to another room but I had all my stuff out and set up. Next I had a bag of ice (small) that had melted and when I picked it up it leaked out on the carpet. I grabbed a town to wipe it up and after a few swipes the white town turned almost black. I got a closer look at the carpet and it was absolutely filthy. i will not walk on it without my shoes on. The room is large and looks nice on the surface but it has hidden filth and I have killed 3 bugs so far and I have been here 3 hours. I wonder what else I will find.

Very clean. Staff was amazing. We were amazed that staff did so many things with only 2 staff members (Front desk clerks, bar tend, cook bar food, performed maintenance on broken rooms). Really, we saw it all while spending the evening in the very clean bar. Extremely friendly and they make you feel welcome. For being an animal friendly hotel, it does not stink. We will absolutely be back anytime we're in Bakersfield. Those ladies need a raise!!!! They're awesome!!!

In A Nutshell: -This Hyatt in Bakersfield is awesome. -The location is perfect, especially when you are driving between California & Nevada. -It's a good place to spend the night. -There are plenty of good restaurants (Korean, Japanese, Thai & Mediterranean) & a Trader Joe's across the street. -I really liked that is has a gym to stay fit, a pool outside, it's dog friendly & there are plenty of parking spaces. -The breakfast spread in the morning is really good. -They aren't cheap w/ their scrambled eggs or sausage, you get eat a lot of food. Overall, all of the staff I encountered from the front desk to the housekeeping staff were all very nice & kind. I appreciate that.

Convenience location with quite a bit of restaurants nearby. Hotel staffs are friendly and experience. Pretty good sized clean room. Free breakfast with spacious dining area. Noon check out time.

This should be 5 star but I wasn’t able to sleep due to other guest at the room with 2 Dogs. They are barking and never stopped. It was one German shepherd and chihuahua. Little chihuahua does have service animal vest on. I never seen service bark like that. Most of service Dogs are calm. The owner didn’t clean dogs waste afterward. I was outside watching she never picked up. The lady at the front desk, she wa awesome. She knows her work and that should be role model to any of front desk. She made me laugh and relaxed. Love this place but dogs ruined my night.
