Location in downtown is great. Walking distance to Public Market, River Walk, downtown restaurants. Room was quite large and done with design touches. Staff was quite helpful. Communal kitchens are an interesting concept. The location is not the quietest - you get the vehicular traffic and late-night-pub foot traffic. First floor rooms are immediately adjacent to the sidewalks, necessitating blackout curtains, which makes the rooms rather dim. Having said all that, we’d stay there again for sure.

I decided last minute to stay downtown. I arrived around 7:15 at night and was that able to get in using my code but was letting by staff fairly quickly. The hotel provides a text with information on how to get into the hotel and room. Staff was friendly. Both the hotel room and common area is nice and modern. It reminded me of a bed and breakfast but a hotel. Where there's a kitchen where you can get complimentary coffee and Tea. And a large fridge where you can keep items that need to be refrigerated. The rooms are very large or at least the one that I was in with double queen beds. The ceilings are very high and the bathroom is nicely decorated. I would say it was not the most comfortable night sleep the beds were too firm for me. Plus the room lighting was not very bright. I usually don't always check my itemized bill but this was a new hotel to me and I'm glad I did because there was an item I was charged for her that I did not have. It's a nice hotel if you want something different than the typical hotel chains.

Really beautiful, newer style hotel with amazing common area amenities, delicious coffee, and common seating areas that are really nice to share. The kitchen is very modern with Top quality equipment room are very beautiful and much more spacious than many other hotels. Our room was slightly noisy from the traffic so suggest using some type of white noise or sleep.

Great location and the staff was very personable and helpful! The room was clean and the beds were so comfy! In addition, the 4th floor access is wonderful! We also felt so safe - security was great! We definitely will stay there again!

To start; the room itself was fun, it had good styling and was far more interesting than a chain hotel, which was well appreciated. Myself and my girlfriend were sold on this hotel for a handful of the more unique amenities, such as the breakfast pastries, nicer coffee, some design elements, etc. We were fairly disappointed with our experience. The hotel has ditched the tried and true keycard system that most hotels have for a text communication code system. Unfortunately our code didn't work, and extra unfortunately, the hotel itself isn't staffed so there was little recourse. Fortunately there was one staff member we found who was additionally dealing with issues at their sister hotel who tried to help. She informed us it was her first month working there and after two codes that didn't work, she had to give us a special access code for our third one. The rooms were again nice and clean, they did feature an assortment of snacks, but with no signage or staff, it wasn't clear until afterward where we were texted requesting us to call and provide credit card details over the phone to cover the inflated cost of the incidentals, which we would not have taken if signs indicated the additional charges. Lastly, on our way out we realized that neither the advertised pastries were provided, and the coffee machine on our floor was broken. We were disappointed by the hands off approach, the casual nature of texting with guests, the surprise charges, and the advertised amenities not followed through upon. Normally we're very easy going people, I largely only leave reviews if something was off, but this hotel definitely added a damper to our trip some. Edit: It seems based on the reply from the hotel that some of the information of our stay was misconstrued, such as my card allegedly being declined, or me not completing my pre-stay profile; I cannot blame the owner as I am sure there are many moving pieces. It is, however, a shame that instead of admitting that some things missed, the decision is made to try to push fault and blame onto what amounts to the average guest, especially for an establishment with as experimental of a system as this one does. No hard feelings.
