Came for a wedding in the library room. The room is quaint and cozy with lots of different art and books to look at. Definitely made the bride and groom’s theme come to life. The hotel was decorated so nicely. The set up was really intimate. There is valet, a parking garage and a parking lot across the street. We paid for 5 hours of parking and it was around $22.

I had a great experience at the The Iron Horse Hotel, and I want to give a special thank you to two valet team members, Exavier and Muhsin. Although I didn’t interact with them until I was leaving, they made a huge difference in helping my entire party get out smoothly. They were organized, efficient, and handled everything with a calm, professional attitude—even with multiple people and cars involved. What really stood out was how well they managed everything and kept things moving seamlessly. They made what could have been a hectic moment feel easy and stress-free. Really appreciate their effort—great service like that leaves a lasting impression.

We Booked a 3 day stay through Expedia from 11/26 -29th with free valet parking and was excited. The hotel lived up to all the great reviews it received as everything was wonderful for the first 3 days. Due to a major midwestern snowstorm event we extended our stay an extra day and all hell broke loose. First thing in the morning of our last day as the snowstorm was unloading we visited the front desk to stay another night and was told I’m new and don’t know how to do it. So we gave them our credit card info and was told when someone more experienced came in they would take care of it. We provided our phone number in case of any complication’s and took an uber for the day. We arrived back at the hotel at 9:00 in the evening to a front desk that knew nothing of what we were talking about. We were told to go up to our current room to find all the key cards changed and no access to our room. We proceeded back down to the front desk as was warmly welcomed with someone who escorted us back to the room for access. Around 11:30 we received a phone call from the front desk informing us they need our cc info again and proceeded to the front desk to take care of it. I was then told it would be a 214 dollar charge for the extra evening when we had booked for 110 per night previously. I get the fact that weekends are a little more expensive but since it was a weather emergency and we had booked for 3 nights previously I think that was not very customer friendly at all. When I questioned managements decision I was told that is how it is and would not budge. So we spent the night and left the next morning under better weather conditions but we certainly never be back to a hotel that either had a management staff that can’t do their job or one who doesn’t care about customer service. Or acceptable in my mind for something that was simply unavoidable but good have been handled much better by a 1st class hotel.

We came to Milwaukee for a wedding and this was the wedding hotel. The reservation system was hard to navigate and contacted reservation phone agents were useless. Once I got ahold of someone at the hotel, they were fantastic. Nikki helped me arrange for a room with a bathtub for my wife. The room was clean though there were several lights out when we arrived. Maintenance staff was only able to repair about half of them. We sleep cold so I set the thermostat to 66 but by the time I returned to room our second day, it was 78 and staff was unable to resolve the issue It was a south facing room in the winter. The hotel bills itself as an upscale, 4 star hotel but it doesn't offer daily housekeeping like others in the area at this price point. The hotel also changed the check-in time from 3 to 4 which seriously impacted wedding guests arriving the day of. However, for a fee, the hotel would allow guests to check in at the original check-in time. The hotel does not provide itemized bills so if you're on an expense account, stay elsewhere. The staff was excellent but limited by facility issues and management decisions. The inability to provide an itemized bill is inexcusable. I stayed in the winter so the summer may offer a different experience.

I had A wonderful experience from the time I pulled up until the time I left. I had To DJ for an event and didn’t know where to park both Jay & David in valet were so helpful. Alicia was also very helpful with insuring me where to set up & provided me with all the things I needed for setting up to DJ. She even made sure that I had food to eat at the party. I would definitely return here for a visit and if I need to host an event!
