I had a great stay at this hotel. A special thank you to Ismael, who went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. He was friendly, professional. His positive attitude really made a difference during my stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area and would happily stay here again. I arrived late on Thursday night and was told valet was sold out. As a woman traveling I didn’t feel safe looking around for self parking. Thank you to Rio (front desk) and Casey (valet) they were able to open up a spot and get me situated! Thank you Marriott Tucson for the hospitality, kindness and willingness to make a guest happy! Great hotel, clean rooms and friendly staff!

Like others recently, I was shocked by the lack of cleanliness at this Marriott. We stayed in a King Suite the 1st night and it was so filthy and dusty along with being dark that we felt we were in a bunker. The pull out bed was a joke and provided a terrible night sleep. We moved into two separate queen rooms for the 2nd night and that was better. Yet, it was still run down (e.g. the shower curtain was ripped and basically disintegrating). I simply expect more from Marriott and it’s why I chose them regularly. This particular location is in desperate need of a refresh. Deferred maintenance is not pleasurable to experience when staying at a hotel. On the positive side, the staff were very hospitable and kind. I really appreciated that. And the location is excellent if you are there to be at UofA campus.

Good location, decent amenities. Left my jacket hanging in the closet. Called the next day to come back to pick it up and the hotel told me “no one submitted it to lost and found”. Frustrated to understand that the cleaners took my jacket and did nothing to resolve the issue.

The hotel was ok. The front desk guy was nice, but factual when telling me the room I paid for and reserved was not available. He went on to say policy states that it’s not guaranteed and that they often overbook the hotel by 40 or more rooms, as if that it made it ok. It was fine, but disappointed as I travel a lot and prefer the room I reserve. The room walls were also paper thin and it was hard to sleep with the outer/ inner noise. You could hear everything from people talk, walk around, doors and the 5am garbage truck as if I was right there and I was on the upper floor. The rooms and facilities were fine. However the door deadbolt lock to my room didn’t exist or wasn’t working. The bathroom shower had orange and black colored mold in the corners with noticeable poor caulking job and ceiling peeling from shower. I’d give this hotel 2.5. Location is great and walkable.
