The staff (Celeste and another gentleman we did not catch the name of) were incredibly kind and accommodating. We had several one-off requests that they didn't blink an eye at and did it with a smile. We have traveled quite a bit and this is some of the best service we have had. The room was comfortable with great beds and cold a.c. The only downside was there was a dead cockroach on the floor, hair in the bathroom, and the TV frequently disconnected from the internet. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, especially considering the price. If we come back to the area, we would have no problem staying here again.

Stayed here Friday night, May 15 to go see P!nkat Petco Park. Excellent room excellent location for any event in downtown San Diego more banged for your buck than the Marriott down the street. Trust me when I tell you that breakfast was amazing afternoon tea coffee all day long and have a little cute courtyard. You can get cozy with your wife.

If you need a cheap place to stay in Gaslamp district within walking distance this is okay. It was clean, nothing fancy. Staff at front desk was friendly with helpful suggestions on where to eat or how to get to places! We stayed in a double bed room. The bed was brick hard! This room was too small for two people. I have been on 50 plus cruises and it seemed smaller than an inside cabin. This was my fault for choosing a double bed room. I’m suggesting that two or more stay in a queen or king room. I would recommend this for a cheap place. The bathroom sink is in the main room around the corner from the toilet. The mirror was too far away from where I was standing. I struggled to put make up on from farther away. Room policy was 1-3 people, I highly recommend one and only one! Fridge, microwave, small personal coffee maker.

Great location, 10 minutes walk to the convention center. Nice and clean room, a bit small but enough for 1 person. Sink is outside bathroom next to the bed, which might be upsetting for some. Breakfast is included, which is a huge plus. Staffs are very helpful with my reservation issue during the check-in and stored my luggage for the day after check-out.

Great location with friendly staff, but some room issues The location is excellent—plenty of restaurants and local shops within easy walking distance. The hotel itself is older but well-maintained and quiet. Our room had a few maintenance issues: the sink drained very slowly, and the ceiling fan and light didn’t work at all. Parking is the main drawback at $50/night through the hotel. There’s a lot 3 blocks away for $35/night, or you can try street meters, though availability isn’t guaranteed. Be aware there’s a significant homeless presence in the area, with a Salvation Army facility nearby that attracts encampments. The highlight of our stay was the front desk associate with long, dark curly hair working on 12/30/25. She was incredibly sweet, helpful, and provided outstanding customer service. As regular Choice Rewards members, we’ve stayed at many properties, and genuinely friendly staff like her are a rare find these days. She made our experience so much better—thank you for caring about your guests!
