First time visiting this location and I honestly liked it a lot more than both Holiday Inn and Homewood Suites. What really stood out to me were the amenities. The gym was great, the pool was big, and the jacuzzi was a huge plus. Overall, this hotel offers way more amenities compared to those other two hotels. The rooms are a little older and the building itself feels slightly outdated, but the amenities and customer service definitely make up for it. Everyone we interacted with was pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. The location is honestly one of the best parts about this hotel. It’s centrally located in San Diego and close to so many great restaurants and attractions. It’s only about 9 minutes from Little Italy, so if you want to go downtown and take an affordable Uber ride, this is a great place to stay. Parking was also surprisingly easy and affordable. There was plenty of parking space, and for IHG members, parking was only $10 a day, which is hard to beat in that area. Overall, we had a great experience and I highly recommend this hotel, especially for families with kids. They’ll love the water features in the middle of the property and the peaceful sound of birds chirping in the morning.

We were skeptical because of the mixed reviews. But we couldn't have had a better experience. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows were perfect. All the staff we came into contact with were very friendly. Check in and check out were super easy. The grounds in the corridor are beautiful. We would stay here again without hesitation. We weren't thrilled with the nightly parking fee, but the fee was one of the most reasonable compared to surrounding hotels. We definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you!

The price was great for a Friday night, it was a very good deal. The room had a, microwave, fridge, and coffee maker. No free breakfast but a very affordable cafe located on site. A bar with food also available in the evening. Property is older, but well kept. Our room was comfortable with a balcony overlooking the beautiful pool area. Beds were very nice, we slept well. One issue upon arrival, our room smelled like cigarettes. This was quickly resolved and we were moved instantly. The staff was excellent! Every member i encountered took excellent care of us.

This was a decent place to stay. We had a fourth floor room with a view of the pool. The grounds are very nice. Beautiful flowers and fish ponds all around. The one major drawback I had was the breakfast buffet. It is $22/person for a buffet that you would otherwise get for free at a hotel that has "free breakfast". Other than that, this was a fine place to stay for a few days. *** Edited to add photos ***

I travel frequently for work and it is not often that a hotel experience truly stands out but this one did entirely because of Edison at the front desk. From the moment we arrived Edison set the tone for what great hospitality should look like. We ran into an issue where one of our reservations had been accidentally canceled which could have easily turned into a stressful situation especially with a packed work schedule. Instead Edison handled it with professionalism urgency and a calm confidence that immediately put us at ease. He did not just fix the problem he owned it. Within minutes he had us rebooked squared away and fully taken care of. What really impressed me was how he went above and beyond beyond that initial interaction. We were coordinating a multi room stay seven rooms for a work trip which can typically be a logistical headache. Edison made the entire process feel simple and seamless. He walked us through everything step by step made sure every detail was handled correctly and ensured that our team was set up for success without any confusion or back and forth. You can tell when someone genuinely cares about their work and Edison clearly takes pride in what he does. His attention to detail clear communication and willingness to go the extra mile made a lasting impression on me and our entire group. Because of this experience this hotel has absolutely earned my repeat business. It is rare to find someone who delivers this level of service consistently and it makes all the difference especially for someone like me who is constantly on the road. I will definitely be staying here again and a big part of that decision is because of Edison. If you are staying here you are in good hands.
