We chose DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Diego - Mission Valley as our wedding hotel after spending more than six months researching and communicating with several hotels to find the best option for our guests. Throughout that entire process, the DoubleTree team consistently stood out for their professionalism, responsiveness, value, and genuine care. We would especially like to express our sincere gratitude to Taylor Fox and Napoleon Encarnación. They were instrumental in helping coordinate room arrangements for our wedding guests and made what could have been a stressful process feel easy and manageable. Anytime a question or issue came up, we could call and receive prompt assistance. Their communication was exceptional, and they were always willing to go the extra mile to help. As our wedding approached, Taylor personally introduced herself and made sure special requests, including coordinating different check-in times for some of our guests, were handled smoothly. Knowing we had a team we could rely on gave us tremendous peace of mind during such an important time. What impressed us most was how genuinely invested everyone was in making our wedding weekend a success. Every interaction with the DoubleTree team was positive, helpful, and welcoming. As a final thoughtful touch, we returned to our room after our reception to find a surprise gift waiting for us as the bride and groom. It was such a kind gesture and a perfect ending to an unforgettable day. We are incredibly grateful to Taylor, Napoleon, and the entire DoubleTree Mission Valley team for helping make our wedding experience so special. Great location close to the trolley, mall, and plenty of walkable spots, which was definitely the highlight of our stay. The staff was very nice and welcoming, and we always appreciate the perks that come with being Diamond members. The gym was also above average for a hotel — clean, well-maintained, and had a good variety of equipment. That said, the hotel itself feels pretty outdated and could really use some renovations. The food was probably the biggest disappointment. It would be nice to see more upscale or higher-quality dining options offered onsite. Overall, we love the location and enjoyed parts of our stay, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

For a Hilton the room was very tired. It was dirty, smelled musty, the sheets didn’t fit on the bed, rooms have carpet which I find gross. Most hotels now have gone away from carpet but I guess this facility is struggling to update things? I was given a room and it was just dirty and I couldn’t stay in there due to that and the smell it’s almost like they didn’t get to the floor to clean rooms yet and gave me a so so cleaned room. I told the front desk this and asked for another room and the staffs response was “why?” Even after I told him it was dirty. The next room wasn’t much better as far as cleanliness everything was the exact same minus the smell it was manageable. The hotel lobby is nice. It seems updated compared to the rooms. I liked the gym except they didn’t have wipes or spray to clean equipment after use which I found to be pretty unsanitary. Everything else was mediocre. The light around the mirror in the bathroom was partially out, the lamp shades had stains all over them. The counters in the room were dusty. The tvs in the rooms aren’t smartTVs so you are forced to watch cable with a million commercials unless you bring a firestick or streaming device. For the price you could stay somewhere nicer near by. I didn’t have a car but if I did the parking is $45 per night which is outrageous.

One of my favorite local stays . Perfectly located and priced . The indoor pool is always a hit for the kids ,gym for the adults, walkable restaurants ,mall near, and city views .If you are a Hilton honor member you get a lil perk . Oh and the wings are fire at the restaurant inside. Drinks a little prices but a nice vibe , breakfast was perfect with many options .

I had an amazing experience at Hilton Grand Vacations thanks to the staff and mostly, Sabrina and Clay. They were both incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming from start to finish. They took the time to answer all of my questions, made sure I understood everything, and went above and beyond to ensure I had a great experience. Sabrina’s kindness and professionalism made me feel comfortable right away, and Clay’s knowledge and positive attitude were equally impressive. Together, they provided outstanding customer service and truly made a difference during my visit. Thank you, Sabrina and Clay, for your excellent hospitality. Your dedication and genuine care for guests do not go unnoticed. I highly recommend Hilton Grand Vacations and appreciate the wonderful experience you provided!
