Plenty of parking for guests staying at the hotel. Rooms were very clean and the hotel had a great vibe. Check in was fast and although my room wasn't ready early, they took great care of my luggage while I had lunch. I appreciated the "guest check in water" and the pool and hot tub area looked like a fun time too. I will definitely be returning here next time I'm in the area.

Had a great stay here. The room was clean and comfortable. Check in was fast and simple. We enjoyed breakfast with quick service. The only thing I'd say, the front desk didn't ask us about our car. And we received a warning about being towed. typically they ask for make model and plate # to avoid this. But otherwise was a good stay.

We stayed here in May 2026 and I thought this was a fantastic hotel. The rooms were clean, quiet, spacious, and had great AC! I really liked the Tuscan architecture of the hotel instead of just another boring modern one, and the location is perfect - Old Town is right next door, and Downtown, Balboa Park, La Jolla, Sea World, etc. are all within 15 minutes or so. We stayed on two separate occasions with two different rooms (Two Queens and One King), and the King bed room seemed to have slightly weaker AC than the other but it still got down very cool in both. The staff were nice but they don't seem to give Silver members the usual snacks and water here, or a discount/coupon at breakfast. Not a huge deal but worth mentioning, since I think other locations still provide this. Parking was also tight outside but they also have a garage under the hotel for an overflow lot. Overall, it was a great hotel and I'll definitely stay here next time I'm in San Diego!

Restaurant is better than many hotels (at an extra cost). Average breakfast buffet but delicious omelet breakfast. We both had burgers for dinner which were delicious as were the fries. Our room was handicapped accessible; large room, fabulous roll-in shower. Everything comfy; both small frig and microwave in room. Snack pantry has snacks, sodas, wine and beer plus frozen entrees and desserts. Also toilitries and OTC meds. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

​We recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn San Diego Old Town/Sea World Area, and it was a wonderful experience overall. The location is unbeatable for anyone looking to explore local attractions, making it a perfect home base for sightseeing. ​The staff was truly great, but I want to give a special shout-out to the housekeeping team. They were exceptional and went above and beyond during my stay. I also really enjoyed the amenities; both the fitness center and the pool are well-maintained and provided a nice way to unwind. If you’re staying here, definitely try the in-house restaurant—the food was delicious and very convenient. ​I did encounter one issue: water leaked from the shower, which created a bit of a slip hazard in the bathroom. However, housekeeping was incredibly responsive and provided extra towels immediately to help mop it up. When I reported the hazard to the front desk, they handled the information with the utmost professionalism. ​Despite the minor maintenance hiccup, the high level of service and great facilities make this a top choice in San Diego. I would definitely stay here again!
