Really nice hotel in a great location. It's slightly dated, but the facilities are good. Free daily breakfast and pool are good for little ones. The kitchenette really helped with a baby. A bloke away from the hustle and bustle of 5th St. If your room faces 6th there can be a bit of noise Friday and Saturday nights from the bar across the street

Outstanding Stay in the Gaslamp – Perfect Location & Service! As a first-time visitor from Houston, I couldn't have picked a better spot. The location is awesome for navigating the area entirely on foot without the hassle of a car. ​Upon checking in, I was greeted by Kai, whose personality was incredibly warm and inviting. She was also extremely helpful with local recommendations for both lunch and dinner. ​I review hotels often and see so many people complain about not being "acknowledged" for their Diamond, Elite, or "Titanium" status. Personally, I’ll take a genuine, warm hello like Kai’s over a status shout-out any day—we’re all human, and she made us feel truly welcome. ​Thank you, Kai, for your assistance and great recommendations. This is a highly recommended place in the Gaslamp, especially if you’re looking to be close to the stadium for a Padres game!

Great location and very convenient for getting anywhere in San Diego. The rooms need better cleaning, and some rooms have a view of the AC units, which is not pleasant. The room layout is a bit unusual, but the excellent location makes it easy to access everything nearby.

This Residence Inn hotel is located in downtown San Diego around a lot of attractions and restaurants. It is one of the cleanest Residence Inn my family and I have stayed in. During check-in, the front desk person, Vic took good care of us, answering my questions with respect, regard and dignity. He was very professional, kind and nice all at the same time. He made not just me and my children feel valued but also the guests before us that I saw him check-in. Staff like him in the hospitality business make your stay not only pleasant but assuring because when you receive such warm welcome at the beginning of your atay, you know your concerns will be well taken care of should you have any. Also, when I called for blankets and bedsheets, my request was met with immediate attention and service without the staff feeling bothered by it. I wish we stayed longer in this hotel. The breakfast was also good and the breakfast staff were fantastic! Always smiling and ready to assist with what guests needed. This is one place you want to stay if you’re travelling solo or with family.

I’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times. Pretty basic but decent hotel. I like the fact that there’s a kitchenette in each room with a full-size refrigerator. This last trip we were in an accessible room, even though we don’t require one, so some of the layout was a little weird. The free breakfast is always a nice touch and this particular hotel has a really nice selection of food. Location is hard to beat. My biggest complaint has to do with the comfort of the bed. The sheets would slide off easily, and after three nights there, my back was killing me. The pillow was super squishy which didn’t help.
