This is definitely a hotel that makes you want to come back again. The renovated room was very clean and beautiful, and it was also bright. Since we have a child, they thoughtfully arranged a room with a bathtub for us, which made bath time much easier. The bed was very comfortable, and the pillow height was just right for me. We all had a great night’s sleep. We also made a point of visiting the hot tub, and soaking in it at night was very relaxing. Towels were provided nearby as well. The front desk staff were very friendly. Oh, and one thing to note: parking is an additional $20 for your stay. Overall, though, I think it was well worth it.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Wyndham Garden San Diego Near SeaWorld was extremely disappointing. I accidentally booked the wrong Wyndham location through a third-party booking site. Within minutes of making the reservation, I contacted the hotel directly to explain the mistake and request assistance. I also sent three separate messages to the hotel and never received a response. The third-party booking company attempted to work with the hotel to obtain a refund, but they were informed that the hotel manager declined to assist and refused the refund request. Over the course of a week, I called the hotel four different times, left messages, and requested a callback. Each time I was told that Justin was the only person who could help me. Unfortunately, I was never able to reach him. I was told he does not regularly check his messages, his voicemail box is full, and no one else seemed able or willing to assist. What is most frustrating is not even the denied refund—it’s the complete lack of communication and customer service. Multiple calls, multiple messages, and not a single response from management. If guest service matters to you, I would recommend looking at the many other hotels in the area that value communication and customer care. This experience turned what should have been a simple mistake into an unnecessary headache.

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for MLK Weekend, and were very pleased! The location is excellent, as the hotel is situated right between downtown SD and the beaches, making visiting each of those places during our short trip super convenient. It is convenient to great restaurants as well. We really appreciated the refreshed room we were provided, even if it was on the smaller side of the rooms available (as evidenced by the room sizes visible on the fire escape plans posted in the room). Our room was in building 'D', which was secluded from the main collection of hotel buildings but did offer gated parking, which was a perk! We would gladly stay here again on our next trip out to San Diego from the east coast.

I recently stayed at a hotel near the beach in San Diego, and the experience was nothing short of amazing. The property was spotless, the staff was welcoming and attentive, and the overall atmosphere made the stay feel relaxing and enjoyable. The location was unbeatable—just steps from the beach—and everything from check-in to check-out was smooth and effortless. The room was comfortable, well-maintained, and had all the amenities I needed. I truly appreciated the level of care the team puts into making guests feel taken care of. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to San Diego, whether for a quick getaway or a longer stay. I’m already looking forward to coming back.

Throughly enjoyed my stay at Wyndham Garden, I had an extremely late check in time and the staff was super accommodating. We got to our room and unfortunately the fire alarm began beeping, we notified the staff and they quickly moved us to a new room. I truly appreciate it the attentiveness and accommodation of the staff. The rooms were very nice, up to date, clean and spacious. Great distance to shopping center and the beach. Everything from check in to check out was amazing & I would definitely stay here again!
