Another location where the experience started off confusing from the second we arrived. GPS brought us in from the back entrance, so we were driving around trying to figure out where parking and check-in even were. The parking structure barely had any open spots, and the second story had stairs everywhere with luggage in hand, which is honestly not practical at all. The other parking structure was so far from the main building that the walk to check in felt ridiculous, especially after traveling. I also thought when booking that they advertised mobile key access through the phone, but there was definitely no keyless entry or automatic check-in situation happening. We still had to go all the way to the front desk. And on top of all that, parking comes with a lovely $35 overnight fee. The rooms themselves felt very outdated. You can tell this was probably a nice hotel back in the early 90s that’s just been maintained enough to keep going. It’s not terrible, but definitely not impressive either. The soap dispenser in the shower was empty, which just added to the overall “bare minimum” feeling of the stay. The only thing I genuinely appreciated was the location. Being close to the waterfront park and within walking distance to SeaVillage was definitely the highlight. Other than that, the stay was just okay and could have been much better for the price.

We had a wonderful stay at the Wyndham San Diego Bayside. The location was excellent, with beautiful views of the bay and the USS Midway right from our room. We had a balcony overlooking the water, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The hotel was clean, well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. It was also very convenient to have Claim Jumper restaurant located on-site for meals. Overall, the combination of the great location, stunning bay views, clean accommodations, and excellent customer service made for a fantastic stay. We would definitely stay here again when visiting San Diego.

This was our third time staying here, and once again, it did not disappoint. The rooms are immaculately clean, the staff is consistently friendly, and the service truly stands out. We stayed in the Bayfront Suites on the 12th and 14th floors, and the views were absolutely spectacular throughout the day. My parents are Wyndham members in their 80s and occasionally need a little extra assistance when traveling. Ryan Ochs has taken exceptional care of them during all three of our stays. He is patient, kind, and always takes the time to answer my mom's questions. During this visit, he even surprised them with a thoughtful treat in their room. His level of care and attention is truly above and beyond. It means so much to our family, and my parents absolutely adore him. Of note, Yes, there is a pet relief area well stocked with pet bags that is consistently clean in front of tower 3 by the parking lot, there are specifically 3 grassy areas. It is well kept. We will definitely be back again.

Nothing says “hospitality” quite like watching a manager stare at a 30-person check-in line, give it a quick side-eye, and then wander off like it’s someone else’s problem. Truly inspiring leadership. So congratulations, sir, this review is your participation trophy for ignoring an entire lobby full of frustrated guests. You’ve successfully earned your hotel another low rating. Remarkable work! Waiting over an hour to check in is absurd. The room was nice, sure, but not “sit in hotel purgatory while staff pretend you don’t exist” nice. And then you tack on $50 parking? Nice job. At this point, just give me my money back and I will go somewhere else to stay. Ridiculous.

From the moment you arrive, I had to ask 3 times where the entrance was as you enter through the back of the hotel. When i finally got to the lobby, it was then I found out they charge you $50 for parking plus a $34 resort fee. Not listed on my expedia page where I booked the room. My room was nice but it was not Facing the ocean and it was very hot. The AC did not work and all it blew was hot air. My engineer brother said the HVAC system was turned off so people wouldnt use the AC. I couldnt sleep so at 1am I went down to the lobby. No one was to be found. No security. I walked around the entire complex. I was exhausted. the next day I had an event. I explained this to the manager and he said he would reimburse me the $34 for my trouble. He never did. I guess that expected based on the other negative reviews. Will never stay here again
