I checked into this hotel after feeling genuinely unsafe at my previous one, and from the moment I arrived, the experience here completely turned things around for me. The staff member working the graveyard/night audit shift on April 29th was incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming. I was exhausted and overwhelmed, and she handled everything with such warmth and professionalism. I didn’t catch her name, but she truly deserves recognition. She went out of her way to make sure I felt comfortable and even upgraded my room when the original one wasn’t up to par. That level of care really meant a lot to me. The hotel itself was easy to navigate, and parking was simple and convenient with quick access in and out, which made things even less stressful after a long day. My room was spacious, very clean, and had a balcony, which was a really nice touch and made my stay even more relaxing. Overall, I had such a positive and reassuring experience here, especially after what I had just gone through. The kindness and attentiveness from the staff, especially that night auditor, made a lasting impression. I would absolutely return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay. ☺️

Taken from the perspective of an attendee of Fanimecon. The rooms are a bit dated but very spacious. The staff are friendly and helpful. When I went, they opened up a text chat where I could ask questions and/or request services for my room. Lamika and Taryn from the staff were especially helpful in getting a microwave and mini-fridge sent up to my room (I forgot to check the amenities before arrival). This is always my preferred place to stay when attending Fanimecon and it looks like it will continue to stay that way!

I stay at the DoubleTree very often for work, and every time I visit I walk away impressed because of the exceptional service I receive. I want to highlight Hernan, who oversees room service and the rooms. He is truly phenomenal. He consistently goes above and beyond to make sure everything is clean, comfortable, and welcoming. His customer service etiquette is outstanding and honestly rare to find these days. During my most recent stay I had an issue with my room, and Hernan stepped in immediately. He handled the situation with kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. He resolved everything quickly and made sure my experience was not only corrected but elevated. He is friendly, thoughtful, and always focused on creating a positive experience for guests. I really appreciate the pride he takes in his work and the way he brings dignity and care into every interaction. He truly embodies what customer service should be. Old and dirty. Hard to believe this is a double tree! Website pics are from 20 years ago. I’m in San Jose often. I picked it bc it is a doubletree. 1 got to pay for parking, 2 dirty stained carpet 3 old dated rooms 4 crap ac system. Way over priced on both room cost parking and food. Will not come back.

Rooms were dated….but we didn’t spend too long in the room. Cleaning crew (for the rooms) were very nice and efficient. Linens were good quality (towels even were fluffy and bigger than most I’ve had at hotels). Front desk staff and breakfast employees very friendly and able to accommodate requests (ps- thanks for the cookies and extra pillows). UPS store owner even had a cable he sold my husband to connect to TV so we could stream movies. Gift shop staff made nice conversation and pleasant to speak with. Parking was pretty easy with large area. This hotel had quite a few hockey teams and didn’t seem bothered by all the kids (some hotels are not as welcoming ). Uber and Lyft drivers always picked up fast from the area and friendly. Thankyou Doubletree ….keep up the good work.
