The best part of the stay was definitely the staff the service was great from start to finish. The rooms were okay. You can tell they’re a bit dated, and the lighting was pretty dim, but everything was clean. I also didn’t run into some of the issues mentioned in other reviews, like dirtiness or noisy neighbors. A couple of small things stood out the amenities felt comically small, like a tiny sponge and very small shampoo bottles that barely lasted a use. The gate was also a bit inconsistent and didn’t always work. Parking, however, was straightforward and not an issue. Overall, a decent stay with great service being the highlight.

Where do I begin? Front desk staff was great. Friendly and accommodating. Neighborhood is sketchy. Very sketchy. I'm glad my husband was with me. The first room (138) a king studio... they informed us the bedside light didn't work. I can live with that. But not the cockroach walking across the bathroom counter. We went back to the front desk. They offered a refund or another room. I wanted the refund. My husband wanted to check another room. (104). No visible pests in this one. But definitely had issues of its own. Toilet was a very weak flush so don't do anything serious in it. Shower has very little water pressure and took a good 15 min to warm up. Hair in the tub, weird stains on the bed. No amenities in the room. You have to go to the front desk and request stuff to use in the kitchenette. My food got locked in the microwave. (But the microwave was spotless!) We figured out how to release it. No coffee maker in room, although even if there was, I wouldn't have touched it. I believe there are many people who live here. Hallway smells of cooking and probably why roaches. Trash piled up outside room doors. Big barking dogs and yappy dogs.... After returning from an event at SAP center at midnight, I was ready to pack our stuff and go home and not stay the night. Grab and go breakfast is exactly that. Police presence when we were leaving. Stay somewhere else. **Edited to say I heard from a San Jose local resident that this location is where the Mayor has housed the people he kicked out of their homeless encampments. I'm happy these people have somewhere to stay. However, this location should absolutely NOT be on hotel booking sites. **Second edit: The manager called me to apologize for the problems with our stay. That was the right thing to do. I appreciated that he cared.

This is as close as it gets to a homeless shelter. We needed a place to stay on our way up north. Eeeeek! We have dogs and didn’t really prepare to stop. This is what we got. It’s got a fridge and a microwave however you have to get over the smell that lingers from the halls into the bedroom. Internet doesn’t work and it’s not the cleanest of places. We’d of kept going had we of known it would be this bad. Just our experience and thought I would share:)

The room was ok. I was on the ground floor. I had booked our deluxe room. The hotel staff is nice. I had booked it because it was close to the location where I wanted to go, plus it mentioned free breakfast, but to my surprise, the breakfast is basically a bunch of gas station muffins and a coffee, which is clearly not acceptable. Talking about the location, oh my, where do I start? There are so many shady people there. The day I was there, somebody had broken into a car. I stayed there for five days, and for three days I saw the police. Extremely shady area. It is close to the SAP center where I was visiting, but I would definitely not stay here again.

If I could give zero stars I would! Very dirty and there was a leak in the bathroom that left a puddle on the floor, the nightstand lights didn’t work when we first got the room. The worst place I ever stayed, I also found bugs in the kitchen area and just over all would not recommend not even a night.
