I stayed at this hotel for 3 days. Because I’m disabled with arthritis in my knees and am 78 years old, I reserved a handicapped room. The bathroom looked like an acceptable bathroom, but I later discovered it wasn’t acceptable. When leaving the shower, going toward the sink, there was a huge slant and I once had to prevent falling by grabbing a towel holder. There was no warning sign. The bedroom wasn’t acceptable either, because the bed was much too high for a handicapped room. On the second night I fell out of bed and wasn’t discovered until 18 hours later, when my sister called the hotel and asked them to check on me, which they did. I asked them to call the fire department to help me get up from the floor, which they did. Luckily I had no broken bones, so was able to leave the next day. I asked them to refund the third night, since I wouldn’t be staying there that night and they refused. They didn’t offer to accompany me to my car and showed no friendliness in any way. After reading this review you can decide for yourself whether you’d like to stay at this hotel.

I personally wanted to take the time to share my review with Red Roof with hopes it helps other potential guests and that these certain employees are acknowledged for going above & beyond for me during my 28 day stay. I had just recently lost my mom & became displaced. Initially I had booked a 2 month stay through Airbnb (which resulted in me becoming displaced "again" & what a total nightmare)! Well, I ended up booking a few nights here at this Red Roof and I am so glad that I did! Special acknowledgment to their GM "Miss Tina", she allowed me to just simply rest & grieve the loss of my mom (with no disturbances), making the daily rebooking process seamless for me, she was very attentive, super kind, knowledgeable & she possessed a zero tolerance for any nonsense on the premises which made me feel safe (especially those nights my significant other would leave for work). I would also like to recognize the young lady "Miss Gina" who works the front desk at nights. She too was very sweet, always possessed such a great attitude going above & beyond for the guests. And I cant forget "Miss Tracy" from House keeping & "Miss Millet" from the front desk, they too were both such a delight to interact with & were always guest oriented/focused. I want these ladies to know how grateful I am for making sure my 28 day stay was memorable, enjoyable, pleasant and most importantly "peaceful, a peace of mind to simply grieve my mothers death"... Red Roof you've earned a lifetime client in me! Thank you so much ladies!

Gina is the most hospitable, professional and pleasant hotel agent I have ever encountered. Exceptionally professional and pleasant . She is hypersensitive to your comforts and accommodations. Pleasant compound, clean and QUIET .. there is ORDER here and you can hear a pin drop at this hotel. Book it…..thank you Gina and she actually smiles and the pleasantries are genuine

This is a truly fantastic hotel. I really love the peaceful atmosphere here. I felt relaxed and welcomed from the moment I arrived. Ideal place to forget about the stresses of daily life. It exceeded all my expectations. The room was not only cozy, quiet and clean but also very comfortable with black out curtains and a spotless and immaculate bathroom. Great free Wi-Fi and TV selection was wonderful. The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional, especially Tina, Gina, Sandy and Liz. Security guard Joseph was super nice and gave me ease of mind. Helped me to my car each time. The location was great. Close to UNF, St. John’s Town Center and many restaurants. Will definitely be back!

I have a lot to say about this hotel, when I checked in the person there was not friendly.and she smelled the smoke on my clothes and right away she said there's no smoking in the room and I said ok.when I got to the room I started to see bugs on the floor so I crushed them! There's a charge of two hundred and fifty dollars if you smoke in theroom. All hotels have that policy and never I once I broke that. But my bags and clothes. M smell like smoke. I was never charged. anything at other hotels but only this one. I tried to explain how My belongings smelled like smoke but I got nowhere with these people on the phone. I'm going to fight this till I can't anymore. I feel it's way too much to charge a person for smelling like smoke. If you consider going there to stay for the night you better not be a smoker or you will be charged a lot of money 💰
