I wanted to be exited about this place but outside of the friendly guy working at the Starbucks in the lobby on 2/23/26 at 8pm this hotel is subpar to every other Hilton I have stayed at. Maybe the guy at Starbucks should be put in charge of the whole hotel. The $38 parking is an undisclosed scam. We got to our room to find trash behind the TV. The remote control for the bedroom TV was missing. A big stain on our sheets and more. We called the front desk, concierge, etc. for 45 minutes with no answer. It took almost 10 minutes for the shower to get hot. I can’t recommend this hotel. Stay at another Hilton property instead. We also ordered food. As I said in another part of the review. Choose Uber Eats or DoorDash instead. 18% gratuity on everything. The food was average at best and they forgot half our order. Almost $100 for sandwiches fries and drinks is ridiculous. Who has a pool and hot tub that closes at dark? This hotel. When check in is at 4pm, You can use the pool and hot tub for 2.5 hrs. Zero value. The rooms have multiple light switches that do nothing… so strange. Still waiting on a tv remote. I’ll update if they finally bring it before I go to bed.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was an extremely disappointing experience. We booked this hotel because we were disembarking from a cruise and needed a place to relax before our flight. We arrived around 9:00 AM and asked if early check-in was available. We completely understood when we were told it wasn’t and that we’d need to wait until the standard check-in time around 4:00 PM. What we did not understand was that there is major construction taking place throughout the property, and none of this was disclosed on the website when we booked. Large portions of the property are inaccessible, with signs posted throughout indicating areas are closed. More importantly, the noise is unbelievable. Workers are operating concrete drills inside the building, creating constant, extremely loud noise. Since our room wasn’t ready, we had to wait more than five hours. Our options were either sitting inside while enduring deafening construction noise or sitting outside in 90+ degree heat. We even asked if we could sit in the airport lounge area, which was completely empty at the time, and were told no. Ironically, we had just paid to eat there and there was no issue while we were spending money. When we finally received our room, we thought being on a higher floor would at least reduce the noise. Unfortunately, the drilling and construction vibrations travel through the building. The walls literally shake, and the noise carries all the way into the room. I am currently wearing noise-canceling headphones in an attempt to drown it out, and even those are barely helping. To make matters worse, the condition of the room itself was unacceptable. The refrigerator had broken shelves, exposed wires, and a brown crust-like substance throughout the interior. This is not something guests should encounter in a room at any hotel, let alone a Hilton property. Had the hotel been transparent about the extensive construction before booking, we would have chosen another property. Guests paying full price should be informed when significant portions of the hotel are inaccessible, when construction is so disruptive that it’s difficult to relax in the room itself, and when basic room maintenance and cleanliness standards are not being met. This experience was frustrating from start to finish and did not meet the expectations of a Hilton property. Another disappointing aspect of our stay was the overall customer service. We were never rude, never raised our voices, and never once complained despite waiting more than five hours, dealing with excessive construction noise, and later discovering maintenance issues in our room. Yet throughout our stay, it felt as though we were an inconvenience rather than paying guests. Unfortunately, we encountered very few friendly staff members. Even our interactions with the concierge and baggage storage staff felt cold and unwelcoming. Hospitality is about making guests feel comfortable and valued, especially when circumstances are less than ideal. Instead, the overall atmosphere made us feel like we simply were not wanted there. Between the undisclosed construction, the unbearable noise, the condition of the room, and the lack of welcoming customer service, this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we have had.

Stayed here expecting a typical Hilton experience but was pretty disappointed. First issue: the room never got cold, which is pretty frustrating in Miami. The AC barely worked and the room stayed warm the entire time. Second: the pool situation makes no sense. The pool is apparently open to the public on Fridays, so when hotel guests try to use it, every chair is already taken. There were no towels available either, so guests basically can’t enjoy an amenity we’re paying for. The closet handle in the room was broken, which just adds to the feeling that the property isn’t well maintained. Service was also disappointing. The front desk staff seemed indifferent even with a long line of guests waiting, and communication was difficult since some staff members couldn’t speak English clearly. Overall the hotel feels dated, poorly managed, and not up to the standard you expect from Hilton. The location near the airport is convenient, but the experience itself wasn’t worth it.

🛑ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE: Check your credit card statements immediately! Rating: 1/5 stars Do not let the nice exterior fool you—staying at the Hilton Miami Blue Lagoon has turned into an absolute financial and bureaucratic nightmare. While the property itself is decent (despite currently being under construction), their front desk operations and billing department are criminally incompetent. During my stay, they managed to incorrectly charge my credit card 2 separate times. When I brought this to their attention to have it corrected, instead of refunding the fraudulent charges, they turned around and charged me yet again for the exact same stay seven days later. They are essentially holding my money hostage. Trying to get this resolved is an exercise in pure frustration: The Phones: Good luck trying to call the hotel directly. The line just rings, and rings, and rings without anyone ever picking up. The Management: The manager is completely MIA and seemingly impossible to get ahold of via email. Total radio silence. I am still actively fighting with them to get my money back. If you absolutely must stay here, watch your bank accounts like a hawk. The gross lack of customer service and sketchy billing practices make this place completely not worth the headache. Stay anywhere else.

First off, the staff here is absolutely wonderful. Many are bilingual, (hey its Miami) which makes things very easy for people who do not speak English as their first language. We did not have a single negative counter with any hotel employee during our stay. Quite the opposite. They were very helpful. Onto the rooms. Many people have given the hotel a lower rating because they say the rooms are dated. At hotels that get this much use, you are going to have couches that get worn out, etc. etc., but I think people are mainly talking about the carpet. The carpet is very clean and does not smell at all, but it looks like it was probably installed in the late 90s early 2000s. The dark green in the downstairs made me feel like I was in an old movie, but it’s all super clean. I will include some pictures for reference. Like I said though, everything is super clean and nothing smells so… Does it really matter? The furniture in the rooms is nice- very clean not stained. I like the artwork and the overall ambience inside as well. The views from the rooms are amazing. The hotel sits on like a little island in a lagoon so you have great views of the water on almost all sides. The only negative about the hotel rooms… Where is the microwave and the mini fridge? Our room had a mini fridge in it, but we were told that we could not leave personal belongings in it and we would have to pay a fee to have one brought to our room???That’s pretty ridiculous. Even the cheapest of hotel rooms have a microwave and a refrigerator so that you can store leftovers and then reheat them. I would highly suggest they bring those things back. I think that’s probably also affecting their room score. The amenities are top-notch. This is seriously one of the nicest hotel gyms you might have ever seen. I was actually able to get my full workout in. The only thing they don’t have is a bench press, and I completely understand why for insurance reasons. Maybe they could add a Smith machine in the future to help accommodate that, but the cardio machines are great and they have many of them. There’s a full barbell section, and they even have a leg press! Like I said, one of the best hotel gyms I have ever seen. I was actually able to complete my workout, which is so rare when I’m traveling. The pool outside is beautiful and they also have a kids pool and a hot tub. There is a little walkway that goes out into the lagoon where you can see some of the wildlife and look out over the water and it’s really lovely. The only drawback to the scenery is that the airport is right across the water, but you know what that’s the price you pay for convenience. The hotel shuttle runs like a clock until midnight or so. We had no issues catching ours. I will say go to level G, not level two like it says on the hotel website. There’s a long row of hotel shuttle pick ups, (like 22 of them) and you can stand at one of them and pick up the Hilton shuttle from there. Walk ability can be a problem here. There is a grocery store .8 miles away, and I walked to and from that with no problem. Just make sure that you use the proper pedestrian crosswalks. Do not jaywalk here. That could have disastrous consequences. Most of the places that you’re gonna wanna eat at and stuff though, you’re gonna need a Lyft or an Uber. The taxis here are super expensive so I would highly recommend using ride share service.
