I was just there visiting family from out of town. They came from the north on their way to a cruise. We did go to the bar and our Bar Tendress was Pilar. As a non guest, my experience with her as a visitor was connected, engaged, fun and mentally stimulating. Her service was professional yet super down-to-earth. She connects with her patrons and I love that about her. She is also attentive, professional and presents a great image and grace with a humble disposition. I'm just sorry the company didn't have card payments services available for us to show our appreciation to her financially. It sucks through their construction they think it's ok to inconvenience their guests by having them walk around town to find an ATM to get cash to visit the bar and just as bad having their servers not get receive tips time each shift because of this! I will go back to make sure my family did take care of her. I worked in the service industry and these tips are detrimental. Under construction, DO BETTER FOR YOUR GUESTS AND STAFF.

this place looks amazing in photographs but once you get there you find that its just a mildew dungeon for 400 a night that's double the price than other rooms in the location first we had dinner the crab cakes appetizer which came out ice cold but somehow seared like it was done the day before the mashed potatoes were cold the demi glace was pan drippings and that was just my meal! the room had a pleasant air freshener smell when you walked in but once the air turned off the mildew was unmasked it was so bad !! the windows were falling apart and dirty the furniture was stained the linens were also stained the carpet was soaked along the bed and greasy to the touch this hotel is own by Hilton they should consider bull dozing and starting over

I hosted a birthday party for my mom in the Riverview ballroom last month 2/21. Throughout the planning I worked with Samantha who was very helpful, knowledgeable, and responsive. I can't say enough about the staff on the day of the event as they were awesome. From the Bartender (I don't remember her name) and the other guy assisting with the food. All of the staff helped to make the event memorable. The drinks were great and guests were raving about the food, it was delicious.

I booked over 6 months in advance for my stay over the Florida Bar Exam. Today, they email (a month and a half out) to say that they will have no power, and offer to let me cancel as if there is another option. There will be no ability to charge my phone and laptop, use internet to study, take a hot shower, or have air conditioning in the middle of the scorching hot Florida summer. That is uninhabitable. Not only that, but even if they refund my hotel price, prices of surrounding hotels have more than doubled in the past six months. Meaning, in order to re-book ASAP, I will be spending double my anticipated and budgeted for expense. The hotel has made no mention of reimbursing those expenses. Late July, with the bar exam and Metrocon, is the busiest time for Tampa, making it the worst time to plan renovations. And if the renovations truly were planned for, then there should not have been availability to book the hotel from July 8th to August 6th when the hotel will have no power. Informing consumers when they booked would have been the bare minimum. The hotel has broken the trust and disrespected us consumers. I am deeply disappointed and would not recommend booking with Hotel Tampa Riverwalk.

Location location location continues to hold true with real estate. That includes hotels. The Hotel Tampa Riverwalk has “location” down pat but not much else. Our 1-king bed suite (501) is a corner room with a sweeping view of the Hillsborough river. It has a large outdoor deck with a table and 2 chairs. That’s the end of the good. The room itself is clean but dingy. Some updates (most notably a decent TV) have been made but the bottom line is that the room is barely “just” OK. Motel 6 would be a better choice! The staff is the 2nd best amenity after the great view. They appear to do the best they can with a tired property. If you’re a Hilton Honors traveler my credit card indicates I am staying at a Sheraton but, absent signage, it is a Hilton. I do NOT recommend travelers stay here. Far better options are available within the same price range UPDATE: on checkout I interacted with Andrew who was very empathetic. He removed the $75 early checkin fee and told me this property is going to go through a full renovation. When complete it will become a Curio brand under the Hilton umbrella
