Hyatt Place Tampa Downtown

This is my go‑to hotel in downtown Tampa. I travel a lot for work, I’m a Marriott and Hilton member, and I’ve tried staying at all, but I always end up wishing I’d stayed here instead. I even skip earning points just to come back here. The rooms are extremely comfortable and very clean, from the beds to the showers. Breakfast is always good, the onsite restaurant is solid, the gym has everything you need with new equipment, and the staff are consistently great. The smart TVs with built‑in Chromecast are a huge plus that every hotel should offer but don’t. I’ve stayed here a dozen times and it has never disappointed me. If you need to stay downtown, do yourself a favor and book here, don’t get stuck on your status with other brands – you won’t regret it. The only “downside” is the valet: it’s on the expensive side, but it’s quick the attendants are always very welcoming and, honestly, pricey valet seems to be the norm for downtown hotels now.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Hyatt Tampa Downtown. Rooms were spacious, beds comfortable, and good amenities. Front desk and housekeeping staff were great, but the best part of our stay was the bar / restaurant staff. Peter truly made our trip! Gave us great advice on things to do in Tampa and was fabulous company for us at the bar. Will the barman was also excellent. Can’t say enough good things about them, Hyatt is lucky to have such great folks on their team. Would highly recommend this property for your future visits to Tampa!

I stopped by the restaurant at the Hyatt Place Downtown Tampa to grab a bite after an early morning of travel, and I had such a wonderful experience thanks to Sonia. From the moment I arrived, she was warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. She took the time to recommend some of her personal favorites from the menu, checked in on how my day was going, and made real conversation while I waited for my meal. What stood out most was how effortlessly she balanced everything. While engaging with me, she was still multitasking and assisting other guests with professionalism and care. She also made my beverage while I enjoyed it there before taking my meal to go, and the entire interaction felt so personable and refreshing. Sonia is spectacular at what she does. Her warm and inviting presence truly made my day better, especially after traveling so early. I’m very glad to have met her and I look forward to seeing her again the next time I visit. Hyatt Place Downtown Tampa is lucky to have someone so personable, attentive, and professional representing them.

I was their for a business event. I didn't stay overnight so I can't speak about the rooms. However, I did visit the lobby and rooftop. Cleanliness is important and that place was pristine. The service at the bar in the lobby was great. I don't drink and was there to join a colleague. They were quick to recommend nonalcoholic drinks. At the rooftop, my first time, was amazing and the service from everyone that worked there was just great. Friendly and attentive. I also used their valet service. It was adorable, quick, convenient, and a wonderful experience. Overall, I give it a 5 star for giving me a wonderful experience!

I stayed on the 15th floor and two whole walls were windows. Great view of the city. Walking distance to the Tampa Conference Center. Starbucks right outside the hotel. Several good restaurants close by. The staff have been friendly and helpful and breakfast each morning has been nice.
