Pros: location, spacious room, friendly by desk Katina and day time lady (brunette didn’t get her name)- both very kind and helpful. Went above and beyond. Breakfast and lobby have both been redone. It is nice to have a full size fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and stove available. The AC was nice a cold. Cons: rooms are very dated. They felt very dirty and in need for updates and repairs. I did not see any roaches or bugs like previous reviews. The drain in shower was broken in the shower.

Here's a quick rating scale for this property: Location of the property: 4.5 out of 5 Price for the room/hotel: 5 out of 5 Parking location and price: 5 out of 5 Service overall: 3.5 out of 5 Breakfast (fact that it's free): 5 out of 5 Variety of breakfast: 4 out of 5 Room and stay overall: 4 out of 5 If you are still reading, here's the rest: 1) Location for me was very good since I was on business, so I was able to park and Uber/Lyft to my destinations; 2) Price overall very good, not complaints; could have used a different bedding set up (king vs. queen, 2 beds vs. 1 bed).... 3) Parking: Good price for 24.00, directly across the street, but the parking was VERY TIGHT and I was warned about it! 4) Service: Well, didn't really need much servicing, but the room had a broken light near the bed, and they told me they were undergoing renovations soon; I just didn't want to get charged for it. They have this new customer service "texting" system asking if all was ok/acceptable for the room and I texted back, but did not hear back for several HOURS. So, what's the point of this new texting form of communication if you don't respond back in a timely fashion? 5) Breakfast was included (complimentary), but they ran out of items pretty quickly... here's a few when I was trying to grab breakfast: Ran out of pancake mix/batter, ran out of plain bagels, ran out of coffee and I couldn't find the darn plates! They were tucked in, near the small fridge where the yogurt and milk was stored, but finally found it. Not a "biggie," just frustrating and felt stupid to ask another guest, since no employees were around to ask. Would I stay there again? Yes, if I had business in the downtown area, this place works. I stayed at the Courtyard (also by Marriott) in the past, and it was better, although pricier. All good overall, so thank you! Hope the renovations work out well!

Stayed here for 2 night. Place is decent but the rooms are a bit dated, especially the bathrooms and the carpet and in the room. Overall this is an OK place to stay but if you are like me and traveling for work and need to wake up early for meetings etc then avoid this location. This is not the hotels fault, but the area and intersection around the hotel seems to be a magnet for folks with modded cars to rev their engine and see how loud their exhaust can get. This is much worse after midnight If you need peace and quiet pick elsewhere

I don’t really know why there are bad reviews; my family and I had a great experience here! Everything was very clean, the staff was exceptional, and the breakfast was better than most hotels with free breakfast! We didn’t have any noise issues either, and we had a room facing the street. If we come back to Tampa we will definitely stay here! I think the staff definitely make the experience above average! They deserve a raise!

Its a nice hotel. I've stayed here a few times. Today during check inn there was an unfortunate accident where my credit card dropped through a tiny slot in the main desk, for wires, and into the void. Christian, who was helping me was very polite and friendly. He wasted no time removing the bottom drawer from the desk and crawling in with his phone light. Sade' soon joined in to help look and add a little humor to the situation. She helped look and suggested my card might be stuck under the upper drawer. At this point Myka' who was working over near the elevator at the time stepped in to assist and removed the top drawer. Sade' quickly found me card once the drawer was out. Mistakes happen its how you handle the situation that matters. The entire team was polite and professional. They kept the situation light hearted and worked effortlessly in helping each other help me. They turned a simple mistake into a positive memory and only increased the hotels reputation. 10 stars
